The Made in Bury Ladies Business Brunch team have organised a lovely event for ‘ladies who lunch’, at The Clarence on Silver Street in Bury on Friday 14th September. Tickets are £40 for a mouth-watering three-course lunch, entertainment, the opportunity to win some fab centre piece prizes and a goody bag for you to take home. Tickets have been in great demand and there are only seven left, so you will need to be quick if you don’t want to miss out. Contact Debi Felone for tickets debi@madeinbury.co.uk

Congratulations to our 'Racing Budgie' and member of our nursing team, Kay Byrne, who successfully completed the Fleetwood Half Marathon on Sunday. Not only did she complete it, she got a PB! Well done Kay, you were brilliant as always, we're so proud of you! Woop woop!!
Kay's inspiration comes from the patients and families she has cared for, here at the hospice and she has two more events this year, with the Heaton Park Half Marathon and the Bury 10k Run still to come. It would mean a lot to Kay if you would read her story and sponsor her here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ka y-byrne6

Actually, it’s more of a fun weekend as there are two whole days of some very funny and quirky events, including the stocks, leg waxing, mystery stunts (they remain a mystery because we don’t know what they are, but knowing Tesco, they’ll be great fun), and a sponsored silence by a member of staff who is a complete chatterbox. Our challenge to you is to make her speak! Tesco, Woodfields Retail Park, Sat/Sun 1st and 2nd September.

We're starting to gear up for Bury Hospice Care Month, which as all our supporters know, is always in October. We want everyone to know about BHCM and local shops can help us to raise a massive amount of awareness by sticking one of these in their windows. Hands up, who wants one? o/

Heading towards £150,000 raised for Bury Hospice, this vibrant event is a must for any music lover with a wide range of venues, both indoor and outdoor and a heady mix of musical styles from more than 140 talented artists and bands, giving up their time and talent for free, as they always do. Wouldn’t you just know it – after months of the sun cracking the flags, the heavens open as soon as the kids break up from school! If you’re tearing your hair out looking for things for them to do, why not relax with a coffee at Costa Coffee-Tesco Bury whilst the small people are entertained with gingerbread man decorating, face painting, books and games and a colouring competition. Saturday 25th August, Woodfields Retail Park, Bury.

One of the funniest and messiest challenge events around this summer, and Bury Hospice has a few pre-bought 5k places left for this bonkers event, if anyone is mad enough to take up the gauntlet. This Gladiator come It’s-a-knock-out style obstacle course is great fun for grown-ups and suits most abilities – water, foam and inflatables abound for a day filled with hilarity. Don’t just take our word for it – check it out for yourself here http://thegauntletgames.co.uk/p…/event- info-manchester-2018/ then come back to us and we’ll give you a booking code. We would like to thank the guys at Miller's Vangard for their wonderful support, twice year they do a deep clean in the Kitchen for us which saves a lot of money and they do a fantastic job. So today we put a heart on our wall as a thank you, what they have saved us is much more than a £1,000
