I cannot fault them. I was able to get through to them on the phone every time (ok, admittedly, last time I called it was a 10-minute queue). The lady on the phone was super efficient and pleasant/helpful, answered all my questions. They dealt with my divorce and each stage was on schedule, paperwork issued/returned on time, I have my decree absolute, I think the whole process was done in the shortest time possible. I don't normally write reviews but after seeing all the negatives it prompted me to balance things out a bit. I think people mostly feel compelled to write a review if they have a bad experience (that gives an unbalanced view). This is just my personal example, but it still counts : )

It wasn't nearly as bad as all the reviews state.
I got through with 10 minutes and the lady was very helpful.
I also got through to the divorce unit within 5 minutes.

I have been trying to get a divorce since 2014 with the help from CAB! Terrible service, can't get hold by phone and don't respond to emails. Not surprised my all these negative reviews. Wish there was another way, feel like giving up.

The whole court system is overloaded and so is their telephone system
dont bother calling 0344 892 400 you will be on hold for 20 minutes (i gave up after this time ) after getting stuck in an auto attendant loop
hearing the same message over and over again . there is no call que announcement telling the caller if his call is getting any nearer to being answered -all very frustrating . Due to the importance of these calls people go on hold which just makes it all worse.

The fact that you have no choice but to use this court is totally reflected in its shocking lack of customer service. So far I have paid over £600 in fees for basically nothing, still don't have decree Nisi and it's been 18 months since I filed the petition. Good luck talking to someone on the phone line, if you have 2 hours of your life to waste. I would understand if this was an entirely government funded service but as we are all paying at least the best part of £500 per application why can't they employ enough staff to deal with clerical matters and answer phone efficiently? If I could recommend using any other service I would but clearly we have to, so if you need to use this court good luck to you!

6 months into a very straightforward divorce- no assets, finances or children - STILL waiting for hear back re. decree nisi.

Phone doesn't let you hold, plays useless info for about 30 seconds before asking you to hang up and try again.

Emails have NEVER been answered - not one in 6 months.

They were quick enough to call to collect payment, but nothing since then.

An expensive process, slower than applying for a PASSPORT, and they don't even reply to emails or calls. DISGUSTING! Pull a finger out guys!

User

Been waiting since March sent divorce petition off March 2016 £410 got a letter back in june saying I missed out a question had to pay a further £95 and told to amend in red pen sent it all back recorded delivery then received another letter in August with another mistake another £95 and ammendments in Green pen sent that back recorded delivery . It's now November 2016 and 15 phone calls 30th in the queue down to 1and being cut off and anoumarous emails with no reply I'm still waiting . Is this a genuine court and divorce center???? I'm really stressed and concerned don't no what else to do any help anyone please I also think (Zola Thomas) works for them 🤔

If i had the choice I wouldnt give any stars......An absolutely appalling and depressing experience, seriously understaffed & the long backlogs add to the pain of dragging out a divorce, what century do these law departments live in??.... I rang up last tuesday to find out what was happening with my order of consent which was put in back in May, ( ive been trying to get divorce finances sorted for 4 yrs now) i was number 52 in the queue, eventually after an hour and 42 minutes i got through to speak to someone only to be told that the judges are dealing with backlogs from 2nd August, the lady offered to take my order to the judge that afternoon as I have had a a mortgage offer now for 3 months & is running out, she said she would post the order back the Thur afternoon. I rang again a week later and sat in the queue number 42 for another 1.38hrs and the clerk i spoke to had no idea what i was talking about and that my order is still in the pile. Have totally lost all faith in the legal system now and feel like giving up. appalling service considering how much legal/law issues cost. If my company ran like that we would all be sacked.
