About Busoga Trust

For over 30 years the Busoga Trust has been working to provide the people of rural Uganda with clean water, and comprehensive hygiene & sanitation education. The guiding principle of the Trust has always been one of sustainability. Believing more in long term partnerships with the people it serves the Trust has never adopted an exit strategy. The success of this ethos is demonstrated by the very first water source, constructed by the Trust in 1984, which continues to pump clean, life giving water today, 24 /7. Over the last three decades the Trust has continually learnt from others and scrutinised its own practices. Along the way it has constructed over 2300 + clean water sources, providing clean, safe water to more than one million beneficiaries. Nourished by clean water, and educated in the importance of good hygiene & sanitation, the Trust believe that each beneficiary will help to build a healthier, more prosperous community.
