I had a lovely fish & chips a couple of weekends back at the Busy Bees fish & chips 113 Promenade Takeaway & Café. Staff were friendly, Service was excellent and fish and chips were cooked perfect. Haddock was so nicely battered and tasty, nice big fish and chips were tasty. Staff here were so chatty, Attentive and outgoing. I will look forward to coming back here soon!

Every time we visit Brid we call here a least at least six times a year, we have never had a bad meal and the food is always fresh and hot and the meals are competively priced. We have tried other establishments in Brid but this one is the best by far and will continue calling.

User

Best fish and chips ever! Can eat in or take out. Great price. Girls in the restaurant were polite and helpful. Definitely recommend x

User

Absolutely love this place, the fish and chips are always cooked perfectly, they taste so fresh and eating outside on the benches has become a part of our day each time we go to Brid. I think it's great how there is water there for dogs, not that we had one, but useful for the great many who do. Top marks :)

User

Absolutely beautiful food. Proper chips and my fish was to die for ! I got the haddock special - fish, chips, mushy peas, bread and butter and a pot of tea. The fish was so fresh, cooked to perfection and the batter was so light and crispy , it's the best fish I've ever had . The portion size was very generous, I have a hearty appetite but it was too much for me to finish. Lovely and clean place to eat with efficient staff.

100% recommend ! Coming back soon 😀

User

great food, freshly cooked when you order so a little wait but totally worth waiting for as you know its cooked while your waiting and not been sat there kept warm. fish is great and the mushy peas are best I've had !! we go there every 2 weeks get the meal deal in restaurant when we take my son back home. even started getting fish butties to takeaway on a Friday when I collect him to eat while waiting for transport. Can't fault the service either !

We arrived at about 12.30 Sunday afternoon. There were plenty of seats outside when we arrived and we could have taken advantage of the small fish and chips at £5 something and eaten them at the tables outside, but we went for the restaurant. We were told to take a seat and we would be served. It wasn't long before the waitress came along with the menu and we decided on the pensioners Haddock. This came with I believe a cup of tea for me and a coffee for the wife, both were in pots and there was plenty for at least two cups each. The fish was lovely.in a lightish batter and tasted very good. I had ordered two slices of bread and butter which I thing was 40p a slice ( very reasonable I thought ) and had it not have been for the chip sandwiches that I made I would probably have had to have a sweet to fill me up. But after eating it, I would have been a bit of a pig to have a sweet ( which I nearly did as they looked nice, and I am a bit of a pig when it comes to sweets ) All in all at £7-80 each a very nice lunchtime meal. I would recommend it to anyone who likes fish & Chips

Really good fish & chips. We arrived on a Sat and were expecting it to be busy. We had our 4 month old daughter with us which can often be an issue fitting in the pushchair but they gave us a table with loads of space. We had one cod & chips and one scampi & chips. We both really enjoyed our meals. Only downside was I was in the way using the baby change as I had to stand in one of the toilet doorways to use it and there were a lot of flies about but this was true for the whole of Bridlington...

User

I went today have to say the food was delicious coffee very strong the thing that let this place down and a star down was the gentleman serving zero customer service very grumpy

User

First visit here, and it will be our last. Fish was awful, over cooked, dry, too much batter, and my partner left his as it was a different colour to the rest of ours. Disappointed

User

Been using this fish shop every time we come to Brid.. Every time we've had skinned fish, apparently they now only do fish with skin on one side. When asked if they could do skinned was met with a resounding no from the miserable sod who served us. Obviously don't need the custom!

User

Thoroughly disappointed! We've used the take away for years and been really happy, wouldn't usually try anywhere else but after today we will. We went to the restaurant and service was slow, though can forgive that a little since it was quite busy, but staff were unfriendly and borderline rude. When the food did come there were many items missing and without apology when we had to request them. Chips were barely warm, same with the beans and mushy peas, and only 2 slices of bread between 3. What a shame after years of only coming here, today will be the last visit. Maybe need some staff training as from other reviews it seems there is a common theme.

User

Service was very poor! Had to wait in the que for 20min after being served my food to get 1 ketchup! Then my food was cold! I ordered a fish cake expecting 2 slices of potato with some fish between and I got nothing like it! They should state what your getteing! Wasn't impressed! Won't be visiting again!

User

I've already commented in an above post on why I wouldn't come here again it wasn't busy and we had an over half an hour wait today due to a lost order when the counter staff asked the person were my order was she said what food with 2 young children who were complaining about been hungry I had to go and ask for our food very disappointed with the service not good and I work in retail so know this is unacceptable

User

Heard this was a nice place to go, got into restaurant, waiting time to be served We was in a group of five, only received four meals they forgot the fifth, which caused us to wait for the other meal which then caused our meal to go cold. . Coffee was weak and we paid for the large portion and when it came it was measly portion. Should of gone into the harbour, better portions cheaper prices. Won't be going back.
