Butser Ancient Farm

A reproduction iron-age farm that carries out research into aspects of the past. The farm is visited by 14, 000 schoolchildren every year, and also puts on weekend events for the general public to showcase the experimental archaeology and other work that is carried out on the site. The site contains a range of buildings including iron-age roundhouses and a Roman villa, along with ancient breeds of animals and crop area growing ancient wheats.
