About Butterflies Of Britain Nature Education Programme
A Nature education programme, providing outreach sessions to children of all ages. Suffolk and Norfolk
Butterflies Of Britain Nature Education Programme Description
B. O. B-Butterflies Of Britain is an Education Programme that will educate children through play. The program will target early years, key stage one, independent nurseries, childminders, home school groups and playgroups. B. O. B will also be at family event days. We offer children the chance to explore our wonderful world of butterflies through a variety of games and activities. We have FIVE unique sessions, Active, Classroom" , Butterfly Gardening , "Hibernating Habitats" & "Ultimate Gardening". Children will explore life cycles, Identity of butterflies and gardening emphasising the use of play. In the garden session the children will learn about the importance of flowers & plants for caterpillars and butterflies. Also build a Butterfly Hotel ready for the winter months. We want to excite and educate children about butterflies so they can take an active part in conservation. B. O. B will be available for bookings in the Lowestoft area as of spring 2016. We will be using Bonds Meadow too.

Who’s bird spotting today ? Ready for the big RSPB garden bird watch ?
My friend Mr Robin at Grove woodland school - having a cup of tea before session & sharing seeds and a piece of pastry with him.
I’m a 😍 little in love with him.
This morning at Grove woodland school with two nurture groups we searched for footprints in the mud. We became explorers & used tracking & ID skills to workout what animals had been in the woods.
We found a deer & fox print & a child pointed out that one of the tracks ( shoe print ) looks like a WiFi signal😍
No equipment, just used what was in our natural environment. #inthemomentplanning #childledapproach #natureconnections
Focus group today at Westwood woodland school have started making bird boxes.
They have drawn up there own plans & measurements to make a home for birds this spring.
Children worked really hard to cut the wood & demonstrated good teamwork & resilience.
... Looking forward to seeing the finished project. #TeamBOB #Woodworking #Homesfornature

Tea party time at nature buddies st benedicts today. We all had our party hats on and had lots of fun!
Cold start to Westwood Woodland school today, but we spotted lots of birds taking part in the Rspb Big Birdwatch.
😍 this
We get asked this a lot about our programmes. We don’t just run woodland school sessions.
Fun in the snow this morning - children made snow sticks & wands and enjoyed running around in the snow. Shame it didn’t last but a nice experience. Typicaly the day I had thin socks on !
❄️Frozen toes❄️
Calling Nurseries & schools we have Availability for a programme this school year
From April - July. Please send us a message to secure your place. Only one full programme available.
Bird spotting today & mr friendly robin is still around & being very friendly towards each class at woodland school.
Every class have been excited to see/ spend time with mr robin. I’m worried he’s going to become a very fat robin tho! He’s very greedy and chasing any other birds off the feeder !
... #Closer to nature experience #birdspotting.

We had such a lovely morning today at the woodland tots family day. My girls loved every minute of playing and exploring in the woods, finding bugs and painting and climbing. We will definitely be back again
We all attended the family session today, my oldest daughter had a great time exploring a range of activities especially the dinosaurs in the chocolate swamp and exploring water and different teabags. We all had a lovely time and it is an amazing play for children to play. We will come again to holiday sessions. Thank you :) xx.
My young son and I attended the Butterflies of Britain Easter holiday activities and they were brilliant. We had a great time together exploring outdoors at Bonds Meadow, with an Easter egg trail, picnic and lots of fun activities; colouring, scavenger hunt and games. At Whitton Hall there was so much to do, nature kitchen, biscuit decorating, story time, the life cycle of the butterfly, outside games, tunnel, playtent and planting sun flower seeds. We will definitely be attending again and will recommend to others. A big thank you to the team at B.O.B😊.
My childminding setting had 2 sessions with Lindsey, the 1st session involved butterfly crafts which was great fun then on the 2nd session we visited Bonds meadow where we went on a mini beast hunt and also added to the growing bug hotel..I look forward to working with Lindsay again.
Lindsey puts her heart and soul into every session and activity that she does and every single one of my children adores her and I love the things they learn with her. I would highly recommend her to anyone and everyone and it's great to see kids doing something different
Had awesome time at the family event today, the whole family loved it
Had a lovely time at BOB tots today we enjoyed plying with the air dry clay and making hedgehogs
Butterflies of Britain brought their butterflies into my class this week. I wasn't sure what to expect but they were fantastic. Such an amazing opportunity for my learners to touch, feed and learn about the butterflies. Lindsey and Steve were patient, understanding and had a wonderful approach of sharing their knowledge in a way that was perfect for my class.
