It is nearly that time of year again! We will be holding our annual Christmas Fair on Saturday 8th December 11am-1pm. Please come and join us for this fun filled event. There will be face painting, stalls, games, food and drink, Santa's Grotto and lots more!

Parents Evening
We will be holding our Parents evenings on the following days.
Wednesday 24th October - Ladybird room... Thursday 25th October - Caterpillar room Friday 26th October - Butterfly and Dragonfly room Monday 29th October - Bumblebee room
This is a great opportunity for you to look through your child's learning journey and have a chat about their progress at nursery with their key person. Please come to the office to book an appointment. We do have a couple of practitioners on holiday on these dates, however we will be happy to arrange alternative appointments for you.

Humphries Pyjama day! Tuesday 2nd October
To raise money for The children's trust the nursery will be taking part in Humphries Pyjama day. Donations given on this day will go towards helping and supporting children who have brain injuries. So please bring your child to nursery in their pyjamas and help to support this worth while charity. Thank you.

Macmillan Coffee Morning We will be holding a coffee morning and cake sale this Friday 28th September from 9am to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. All Parents and Carers are welcome, so please drop in and have a cup of tea and a slice of cake and help us to support this worthwhile charity. Thank you

Harvest Festival We are having a food collection for Harvest Festival, donations will be gratefully received and will go to the St Helena Hospice and the Colchester Foodbank. There will be boxes that have been decorated by the Dragonfly and Butterfly children situated in the Nursery Lobby, please put your donations in these boxes. Thank you so much for your support.

Dear Parents and carers,
We were lucky enough to have a visit from the Colchester Fire Brigade on the 20th June, the children had an amazing time using the hoses and setting off the siren!

Christmas Fete This Saturday 9th December we will be holding our Christmas fete in the nursery. It is an open event, and everyone is invited. This is also an open door day for friends’ family and anyone else you wish to bring to the nursery. As usual we will be holding a raffle, stalls, and a ‘Santa Grotto’ and a bake sale. There will be few other activities for the children and grown up’s to enjoy so please come along and lets have some fun! Thank you

This has been a great nursery for my daughter. She has done so well. The staff are lovely and friendly. Would recommend.

Really fantastic nursery. We're so happy that our Daughter goes here.



She learns so much from her days at butterfly blue, it's unbelievable. She comes home with new songs and words. It's really brought her on socially.



The ratios of staff to children is really great. Only today my daughter cried for her Lady when we passed the nursery in the car.

Our daughter started when she was six months old and has got on brilliantly - in fact she can't wait to get into her room and start playing. We are really pleased that we chose Butterfly Blue, the staff are all lovely - particularly those in our daughter's room! We highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

My two boys (1&1/2 , & 7 months) have settled so well here, the staff go above and beyond just working at the nursery they really do love the children. I'm truly sad to have to take the youngest out of the nursery now I've finished college. My eldest really has come on leaps and bounds for being there. I'd recommend it whole heartedly 5/5 !!:)

My son has been going since he was 5 months old and loves it. Staff have been great at helping him settle and are always happy for me to ring if he's not himself. Clean and lots to play with, with different toys each day. Even trips to feed the ducks sometimes! Would happily recommend to others

My son attended this nursery for 2.5 years. He’s non verbal autistic and he absolutely loved it here! They worked with me on learning plans and offered him first class support. He’s most definitely the cheeky, happy little character thanks to their wonderful work and understanding. I couldn’t recommend butterfly blue enough! Thank you to everyone who made his nursery years so enjoyable! X

My eldest son has just left to join primary school and he loved it at butterfly blue the staff are brilliant and he loved you all, I was so pleased with Harveys time I've now started sending his little brother!

My daughter went to butterfly blue for just over 2 years until she started school. She absolutely loved her time there. The staff are brilliant and a credit to the nursery. I have and will continue to recommend this nursery to anybody looking for the perfect place to send their little ones :-)

My daughter has just started to attend this nursery and the staff are amazing. She loves it in Bumblebees. She is so happy there and is cared for by the great staff. She also takes part in so many activities and eats new types of food all of the time. The staff also help me when I ask questions about what her likes and dislikes are. I am a first time mother so it's all new and I am still learning. �

My daughter has just left the nursery after 2 and a half years. Fabulous nursery with wonderful staff.

Great nursery, my 2nd son left today (sad lol) to start primary school.



The girls are fantastic with the kids and the setting if the nursery is top class.



If you can get your child into the nursery I advise you do!

Fantastic nursery. The staff as so friendly and lovely. The daily updates about my little girl are great and she is very happy there. Thank you all for the fantastic job you do!

Could not ask for a more amazing nursery. The staff here are fantastic and my daughter who has been going here for the last 2 years since 5 months old absolutely adores them. Trusting someone to care for your child while you work can be worrying so it is such a relief to know she is safe and having fun but this nursery also has such a warmth and family feel to it. I would 100% recommend this nursery.

Amazing nursery with amazing staff! I wouldn't want anyone else to look after my little boy. He loves his Bumblebee class key-workers and is always learning new skills and doing lots of new activities.

Rang today about 3yr old funding as my little boy would be due to go in january but apparently they dont have no spaces and you cant even put there name down to go! Bit stupid if u ask me!! Surely by january thered be children that have left who have turned 4 that are going to school!
