Butterfly Bridal

We came to Butterfly Bridal for a Bridesmaids dress for my daughter and sister for a family wedding.
The service and choice were both second to none, and the dresses were amazing.
Thank you so much for making the whole thing a pleasure to do, and hassle free.

What a wonderful experience!
From start to finish the wonderful staff at Butterfly Bridal just made planning a wedding so easy and enjoyable.
I got married in January and ended up getting my dress, Bridesmaids and Men's suits from here and everything was perfect.
I was a young(ish!) bride and I was nervous about shopping for dresses because I just didn't know where to start, but as soon as I walked into this shop I felt relaxed and totally at ease. The staff are really lovely, friendly and helpful, but not in the slightest bit pushy. There is so much choice of beautiful wedding dresses and also shoes, jewellery and other accessories. This made it easy because I could try shoes and jewellery with my dress!
Also, having bridesmaids dresses and suits all under the same roof was fantastic!! It made colour matching etc really simple...no need to carry a piece of fabric around with me for 12 months!!
The shop itself is really classy, light and big. Other shops I had visited were quite small and didn't have the same lovely feel about them.
So overall, I would 100% recommed Butterfly Bridal to anybody. The ladies in there really could not do more to help or make you feel comfortable and they also really genuinely cared that everything was perfect for my big day.. and it was, so thank you Butterfly Bridal!

I am a young bride-to-be and had an appointment for this shop earlier this week (31.01.2012). I walked into the shop 5 mins earlier than my scheduled appoitment and a previous bride-to-be was just finishing up - I didn't feel the need to interrupt so I stood and waited.

The woman behind the counter (who I later learned to be the owner) turned to me, looked me up and down before saying "can i help you" in a somewhat sarcastic and overly unwelcoming tone. I quietly said that I had an appointment but I already felt like I wasn't worthy of being in the shop dressed in my 'not best' clothing.
I was shown to the dresses where myself and my friend were left to look with no real interest shown into what styles I might like or really want to avoid.

When I was put into dresses, I found the approach to choosing between dresses was more forceful than it needed to be. I am aware that a decision such as this needs to be ruthless, but when I have only tried on one or two dresses I do not feel the need to be told "but what do you HATE about it?"

Overall, I did not rate my experience at Butterfly Bridal at all - I have been to other Bridal shops in the Lancaster area where the customer service has been a lot better - the staff were welcoming and non-judgemental for a start. I'm sure many brides have had a positive experience at the shop but for me I left feeling wholly disappointed and I will be sure to tell any friends who plan to get married in the future to avoid the shop.

In terms of prices and quality of products, I couldn't fault them. However I will not be parting with any of my wedding budget to this establishment now, or in the near future.
