About Bybrook Pre-School
A happy, friendly and thriving village pre-school. The pre-school opened in the 1970s and serves the local community, surrounding villages and Chippenham.
Bybrook Pre-School Description
Bybrook Pre-school (Ofsted Reg No EY496988) is based in Yatton Keynell Village Hall. It has a secure main entrance, and each child has their own peg to hang their coats and bags on in the entrance area. The large hall offers plenty of space to explore, play, create or just sit. It opens directly onto two outdoor areas. The first is a large secure patio area which will soon be part covered to allow year round use. We have a selection of ride ons, and wet play activities out here. The second is a secure natural garden area with space to plant, dig, climb and balance.
The pre-school serves both local village communities, and also welcomes children from Chippenham and across North Wiltshire. There is disabled access, and we have a SENCo in setting to provide additional support for those with additional needs.
Bybrook Pre-school is on the Early Years Register and is a registered charity (Registered Charity Number: 1163933)

Humphrey has been a busy bear today.. With the help of an adult, he melted some chocolate to make chocolate crispy cakes yum yum. He's also been practicing recognising the letters of his name. We wrote the letters on the pegs and Humphrey had to match them to his name. Good work Humphrey!! This is one of favourite activities that we like to do at preschool π

Making a bird feeder.. all you need is some lard, bird seed and string x Step 1- Squish the lard into a little ball. Step 2- Add the bird seed and keep squishing. Step 3- Cut a piece of string and squish one end into the lard. Step 4- Keep in the fridge for a little bit until it hardens.... Step 5- Find a tree to hang your bird feeder. Step 6- Happy Bird watching and make sure you let Humphrey know how many birds you saw.

A little hello from Jane and Bobby x
A little message from Alison.. her sweetcorn has sprouted!!
I put a bit of compost in each of the little pots, put one sweet corn seed called a kernel in each pot, covered them with a bit more compost and watered everything. Two days later these green shoots appeared. I have given it water every day - not too much. And very soon I am going to put them into bigger pots so they can grow bigger. Then when there are no more frosts at night Iβm going to plant them outside. At then end of summer each plant might have a corn on the cob on it. x

We've just been off for a listening walk, Humphrey closed his eyes and told me that he could hear birds. When you next go for a walk, stop, close your eyes and listen carefully. Let me know what you hear. Humphrey has also been busy in the back garden making nature picture with all the different things that he found.. He even found a Bybrook Rock!! Thank you Humphrey for a lovely day x
Water play today for Humphrey, he's been outside all morning painting the fence. Such a clever bear x
