It's time for the next BYK presentation today with the title: "The future is macromer – solution provider for multi-layer application" Many high-quality products involve multi-layer coatings. Macromer-modified additives are able to control the surface energy of the applied coatings and inks, which positively affect both the wetting and the adhesion of the sequential layer. Mark Heekeren, Head of Technical Service Transportation at BYK, will address this topic in his presentation at the ECS . While commonly used silicone surfactants for waterborne coatings tend to lose performance at increasing application speeds, BYK’s latest addition to its waterborne product portfolio provides not only efficient static but also highly dynamic surface tension reduction. BYK shares knowledge at the European Coatings Show Conference First in line is Dr. Jörg Hinnerwisch with his lecture about "New wetting & dispersing additives for water-borne coatings – no pain with rain and stain anymore" BYK has developed dispersing additives based on novel chemical structures, which combine sufficient viscosity reduction and deflocculation of inorganic pigments on one hand as well as least negative influence on water, stain and corrosion resistance on the other hand. Dr. Jörg Hinnerwisch, Head of Technology Group Wetting and Dispersing, will speak on this topic at the ECS conference.
