About Café Caribbean
Great, authentic Caribbean food by ex-boxer Warren Richards
Café Caribbean Description
As an ex-professional heavyweight boxer, Warren Richards' career was cut short after an eye injury but having studied and having passion for food; it was an easy transition reverting to something he loves.
Café Caribbean launched in 2003 in a small outlet in London's Covent Garden, Jubilee Market. Although it was small it made a mighty impact and was very popular with tourists and locals. Warren always had the vision to open small units in London serving great, authentic Caribbean food.
When the redevelopment of Covent Garden took place, Warren decided to relocate and decided to look towards the vibrant diverse area of East London. Warren felt that his authentic, home cooked style of food would be successful and was fortunate to find a unit at the Old Spitalfields Market and opened in 2010. This site has been successful and extremely popular with the city workers and locals, and even the market traders. Café Caribbean is lucky enough to have had many great food reviews online and in magazines complementing the great taste of café caribbean.
In 2012, the BBC visited Café Caribbean to film Warren cooking for the Great British Food revival, which also provided a large amount of publicit. Warren is currently in the process of making a program for the Food Chanel, which will showcase the big man cooking authentic Caribbean food.
Peace and Love,
Café Caribbean

Would like to thank you for catering for my partners 50th birthday party. The food was amazing and everyone complemented on all the different types of food. I will definitely recommend you to all my friends and family.... outstanding service.
This place was unreal, my friend got a jerk chicken meal and I said I don't eat meat so I can't taste his food. Immediately, Warren said he's going to give me a free vegetarian meal to try and gave an entire plate of amazing home cooked food and wouldn't accept any cash from me. The food was absolutely yummy and you could tell it was a lovely home cooked meal! Thank you so much Warren!
Great staff, and amazing food! With everything on offer on our doorstep in London we'll always make an hour long round trip once a week to get jerk chicken! It's THAT good! Keep it up guys! (And consider deliveroo) ;)
Gaz bought me home the jerk chicken rice & pea with some plantain. Left it chilling in the fridge. Heated it in the oven with a dash of water, covered with foil over the top to let steam heat the food. This was my first time trying proper jerk and it was up there with the best food I've ever had and I want it AGAIN!!!!! I didn't expect it to be so nice. 11/10
Food is consistently tasty - loads of flavour, which is crucial to Caribbean food. I've never felt let down by portion size either - great value for money
Food is ALWAYS on point! Especially the curry mutton.
My dads a Trini, so I was brought up on good homemade Caribbean food. So trust me when I say, the food from here never disappoints.
Staff are always friendly too, so what's not to like......oh yea, the queue......unfortunately when you have food this good, word gets out!
Best Caribbean food I've eaten in London. The spice is spot on, the rice and pea is fresh and the meat falls off the bone just how it should. Go to this place!
Amazing curry mutton I have tasted in a long time I highly recommend you to my friends and family
Had food from here before, but the customer service was to be a little desired. I asked for a side and told it would be 3 minutes so I waited and waited, just to be then told with a smile we don't have it.
