Café Assistant / Cook Required for busy independent Café in the Duston area. Hours up to 40 per week.
Duties of Role: • Ensure efficient and excellent service in cafe.
... • Educates customers by presenting and explaining the food and drinks menu
• Welcome customers by determining their coffee interests and needs. Manage the preparation, delivery and service standards of food and drink for all customers.
• Ensure that the kitchen, service and cafe area are clean throughout the day and meet health & safety requirements.
• Prepare, cook and serve menu items
• Adhere to portion control policy and quality of food preparation.
• Ensure that all foods prepared, cooked and stored in the cafe meet food hygiene standards
• Responsible for cleaning and general maintenance of the facility and equipment.
Person Specification • Relevant experience in a similar role would be desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
• Food hygiene certificate desirable
• A passion for catering high quality food, good presentation skills,
• Confident communicator and strong customer service skills
• Ability to use own initiative and be a good team player
• Maintain a professional calm manner when under pressure
