Café Café is a popular modern bar and fine dining experience located on the summit of historic Harrow-on-the Hill in West London. It is the sort of venue you would be more likely to find in Docklands, The City or Covent Garden which is why its regular and committed customer base is made up of not just locals but also a clientele drawn from much further afield.
Harrow-on-the Hill itself is a popular destination attraction especially in the summer with its narrow Victorian streets, ancient buildings, fields and woodlands, lovely walks and the historic Harrow School.
Café Café is at the heart of Harrow–on-the Hill village opposite the village green and has an outside seating area for drinkers to enjoy the atmosphere and charm.
There are over 60 choices on the bar’s cocktail list which are skilfully made to order in front of you by one of their expert mixologists. Some of the more complex cocktails can take up to eight minutes to mix and many of them come decorated with fruit, herbs, beans or even rose petals so that they look every bit as delicious as they taste!
Some of the mixes are classic favourites but others are Café Café originals including their signature Sex-On-The-Hill! Sip them at the bar or in the outside seating area if the weather is nice or lie back and relax in the lounge area adjoining the bar.
There’s also a range of mini cocktails which are served as shots and for drivers and non-drinkers there’s even an appetising mocktails list!
Café Café’s restaurant appeals to the most discerning of diners with menus that include contemporary British classics some of which are fused with influences and flavours from across the globe.
The current a la carte menu has 20 main courses with traditional dishes such as chicken casserole and fish and chips sitting alongside lamb shank braised in North African spices and sea bass with chilli and garlic prawns.
There are also several vegetarian options including chickpea and cauliflower hash served with pistachio and apricot cous cous and mushroom stroganoff with paprika herbed rice.
From Mondays to Thursdays there is a two course Set Dinner Menu for £18 which includes a complimentary glass of wine and for the corporate market there is a two course Working Lunch at just £15 per head.
For those who can’t tear themselves away from the bar (and the cocktails! ) there’s even a Bar Snacks Menu.
For private functions, The VIP Room at Café Café is a popular events venue. Its a self-contained area with its own bar which adjoins but is separate from the restaurant and main bar and which can be hired for birthdays, christening parties, engagement parties, receptions, baby showers and corporate events. Although self-contained it still benefits from the overall Café Café experience.
The kitchen team can design a personal menu specific to individual requirements while additional services such as a champagne reception, flower arrangements, decorations, comedians, magicians, a DJ or other entertainers can be sourced to enhance the event.
