Independent Unique rustic Café serving breakfasts, brunch, lunch & afternoon tea & cakes all day.

Celebrating nearly 20 years of hospitality at the heart of this beautiful historic city, opposite York Minster.

Warm music-lined walls are scattered with instruments, and old wooden mismatched tables & chairs create a comfortable and informal restaurant where you can enjoy anything from just a great coffee, or Café Concerto's famous Tomato soup, to a Club Ciabatta sandwich or a full three course meal. Background music is melodic jazz, swing and other classic music from the '50's. The style of the café is often likened to the 'brown' cafés of Amsterdam.

Serving fresh home-made high-quality food, locally sourced where possible - milk and free-range eggs are from local farms & much of our quality meat is also
farmed near York. A menu covering everything from comfort food to fabulous main dishes usually keeps everyone happy. We believe in high-quality, simple,
fresh interesting food that often surprises customers whose expectations may be limited.
