We loved it here! Great atmosphere, friendly, attentive service and lovely food! We had the pre-theatre menu with prosecco and we were really happy with the yummy food, quick service and great value! We would definitely recommend Cafe Monico.

We had pre drinks before the show and then went back after ..bar staff were so friendly and nice couldn't fault the service. We loved everything about cafe monico and so regret not eating there before the show ..but we will be back .

My mum has some intolerances and allergies that I completely forgot to mention when booking. They could not have been more knowledgable about their food prep or helpful in assisting her decision. Our food was delicious and the service excellent. The ambiance is lovely - it’s beautifully clean and the staff so accommodating

Thought this was a very good deal for pre-theatre dinner. Liked the ambience, fast friendly service and good food for the price. Sure, not the best I've ever had, but I wasn't expecting that for £20 per head. Definitely one to come back to.

Surprisingly good value for both food and wine. Good food, even better decor and ambiance. Part of Soho House group but has it's own identity. So hard to find an oasis in that part of town. Cafe Monico is my current favourite.

Such a great meal! Visiting from the states for a friend birthday. Tom the GM was so warm and inviting. Made us feel right at home. Server was fantastic, hope she enjoys her trip home to Spain. Had the crab ravioli and ribeye, both fantastic ! The chocolate dome dessert and espresso martini were splendid as well. Thanks for a great night!

Popped in on daughters 11th birthday after Les Miserables. Found all the staff to be really attentive and wonderful with our daughter. We all had a great meal made all the better by Cafe Monico’s Wonderful staff. Thank you for making it so special for our daughter. AAAA++++

My husband booked a table for pre-theatre dinner as part of my birthday weekend after doing a bit of internet research...he definitely made the right choice. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel extra special - the service was fabulous throughout! The food was equally great...I can recommend the chicken cacciatore...delicious, but so was everything else!! I even got a lovely surprise dessert complete with candle! If you're looking for a place to go in the theatre district, this would be hard to beat!

Loved .... relaxed ambience, staff friendly and attentive in all the right ways - the food was excellent. I had the sunday roast - the beef was melt in your mouth. Worth a visit.

I adore this restaurant, the staff are wonderfully welcoming, the food is excellent and the barmen can make almost any cocktail you ask for, this has been a very regular haunt for us, it won't be quite as often now as their "friends card" terms have changed, however it is still one of our favourites x

and very swiftly changed our table when we asked to move upstairs. Food was super my Crab Ravioli was brilliant and portion size perfect. Loved the warm bread which is not the normal pap one gets in London restaurants . Defo go again .

Very surprised to find this lovely restaurant in the West End; an area usually filled with tourist fodder holes! Lovely food, wine & staff... will definitely be returning.

I have removed a star because of the service. I simply can not fault the food, in our party of five everyone said their meal was sublime. My father said his liver & bacon was the best he’s ever had and I enjoyed the duck immensely. It is therefore such a shame that the poor service has prompted me to post this. From the moment we arrived at 6:07 for our 6:00 booking (we had trouble getting a cab) we were forced to wait 10 minutes for our table to be ready (meaning it was ready 17 minutes after our original booking time - quite glad we were a few minutes late really!). Once seated it took forever for a obviously flustered waiter to finally come and take our order - he did apologise for taking so long and I do understand that restaurants are stretched thin in this festive season, so while annoying if that had been the only issue I wouldn’t now be complaining. Unfortauntely the issues continued, sides that had been ordered never arrived, our food took over twenty minutes to come and finally when we ordered pudding a new waiter who was at that point serving us said “I need this table back in ten minutes so you will have to eat quick”. Seeing as much of the time we spent at that table was waiting around caused by slow service that seemed quite a slap to the face. Nevertheless we ordered pudding and prayed we wouldn’t be turfed out too quick. In the end it took over 15 minutes to get someone’s attention and ask for the bill once we had all finished our puddings, so much for needing the table back!



All in all I would go again for the food. But I hope the service improves and that the waiter who took our pudding order is taught some manners.

Had a meal after Motown today at 530pm, impressive venue well laid out and great atmosphere. Had a slight prob with my starter but you know the staff were excellent and handled as professionals - well done team and thank you for your consideration, it didn't spoil an excellent meal, recommend this place.

A great place for a post-theatre dinner. Our waiter remembered us from previous visits, was very attentive and recommended an excellent cocktail. The food was delicious, the prices are reasonable and we recommend this restaurant very highly.

Decided to go there to change and try a new restaurant. The pictures on the website seemed lovely and the prices attractive. So went there with 3 of my friends. The venue is amazing and the Jazz music so good as well ! But I have been disappointed by many details. First we booked at 9pm and we had to wait 30 min more for our table. After that waited another 15 min before someone came to our table and gave us very warm tap water. But considering the hot weather I decided to pass on this and just ask for ice on the side. Then came the food and firstly the bread ( which is frozen by the way ...). So the runner put my steak down and say a wrong cooking temperature and so as my friend. We just swapped steaks because between bleu and medium there is a huge difference. On the top of that all our chips were soft and not crispy at all. Such a shame when you provide really good mussels and even the steak after swapping were very good. But it's just an accumulation of details which went wrong and made the experience not really good. It's very frustrating because I'm sure a place like this one can do so much better. Thank you anyway to the guy ( maybe Spanish ) who topped our wine and tried to be on the top of everything. But I don't thank our waitress which was not present at all and was just here to ask if we were ready to order and never came back after that ( Leonarda).

Fortunately we liked the deserts but don't think we will come back.
