love this place go with my daughter for mom and daughter treat
just delicious. ..anything from food to drinks to teas . Kids love the smoothie. the owner and staff are super friendly and know exactly what they offer. highly recommended 5*
What a little gem of a place Cafe Reem is. Delicious home made authentic arabic food and lovely range of drinks to suit all tastes. You have to visit this family run local cafe when you are looking to try flavours of the middle east right here in Brum. Found my new hangout Omar. Thanks.
We ordered a special menu. Reem is so talented - we ate fatoush, kibbeh (a Levantine dish made of bulgar, lamb, spices), Za'atr covered flat bread, tabbouleh served in lettuce leaves (like they do in the Holy land). Followed by a traditional Palestinian meal of humus cooked with bread covered with minced lamb and salad as well as moussaka. So the moussaka served in Palestine, Egypt and other places is different to what we know...but OMG the way that aubergine is utitlised makes you think you never knew aubergine. Such special food.We finished off with a dish called basbousa. OMG - the sage tea.Wowzers. That really was a revelation during Holy weekend. We are so lucky to have Reem and her beautiful family serving wonderful food in Birmingham. x
We decided on the spur of the moment to go out for dinner and were craving Shawarma after a long day. We hadn't had it for years and decided to Google the area, we found Cafe Reem's website and drove over. The place looked so beautiful and inviting from the car, it's warm lights tempting us from the cold.
We ordered and I tried to say thank you very much in arabic to show how appreciative we were - this sparked a most welcome conversation about the history of the place and the owner's passion for good food and great hospitality. I can tell you now, and with honesty, that we have not had Shawarma properly until today. We tried the fatera, (the spinach flavour paired with the pickle was delightful) the traditional kibbeh, (I could eat these every day) and both lamb and chicken shawarma (we shared half each and could not pick between the two, both were cooked beautifully)... before taking chai karak tea and some baklava home with us.
Reem - My wife would not share the flapjack brownie she warmed up at home, and who could blame her?!
Thank you so much for your kindness, warmth and the wealth of hospitality that was shown to myself and Nicola. We were lucky to find this place by chance, and we will not stay away long.
Warm welcoming choices and excellent food. Enjoyed dish of the day. Would recommend Menu to everyone with a real love of good food.
This us my favourite cafe, such great interesting food, relaxing environment and lovely welcoming staff. Evwrytime I go I try something new and I have never been disappointed. I tried the Baklava today whu h was beautiful xxx
This little cafe maybe unassuming from the outside, but inside you are transported to the med. Warm, cosy, intimate, environment. Menu is amazing lots for vegetarians and non vegetarians alike. Raspberry tea with fresh mint leaves, halloumi wrap, and a fantastic baklava. What's not to like
The best restaurant in Birmingham as proved by Cafe Reem holding #1 spot on trip advisor. Run by a lovely family who will personally look after you and guide you through the fantastic, unique menu, "exceptional cuisine that is worth a special journey". Cafe Reem my new favourite restaurant!
Oh my goodness! The food here is delicious and the drinks are amazing. So much flavour, so fresh and such lovely service too. The baclava is the best I've had in years. Can't wait to go again and try different dishes.
My friend discovered this wonderful cosy cafe last week and advised me to try it, let me tell u guys it was the best experience ever, we lack good authentic Arabic food in the Midlands and cafe Reem has it all, the food was very yum and authentic, the owners were very welcoming and friendly, it's highly recommended and it was worth the drive from Coventry to Birmingham to have the most delicious Arabic breakfast in the West Midlands, thank you Reem Cafe for having us this morning, we'll sure come back again for more delicious food
Lunch was delicious and we loved the decor and friendliness of the staff. Looking forward to trying lots more on the menu.
Lovely little hidden gem. Cozy atmosphere, yummy traditional food, well presented, lots to choose from on the menu and excellent customer service from the beautiful people who own this place. The Turkish delight mocha was gorgeous and different. Unlike any other drink I've ever had!
I shall most definitely be returning here! Xx
Lovely cafe and very family friendly for me and my friends with toddlers and children. Food is delicious thank you
Lovely atmosphere.... (small and quirky).... food tasted great..cooked with love by Reem.
Highly recommended .... will be visiting again soon x
I've been popping in regularly ever since they opened. Lovely people, always a warm and friendly welcome, delicious food and coffee and fantastic smoothies. Well worth a visit!
I just love this place and I go as often as I can. Great atmosphere and fabulous authentic home-cooked food from the middle east. The teas are really worth trying- especially the Moroccan mint tea which contains more fresh mint than my garden- gorgeous and refreshing. Coffees ain't bad either, especially with a piece of Reem's Baklava- not sickly sweet like some shop bought stuff, but full of natural sweetness from the nuts, a little honey and a hint of rose water in the background. Blimey- I want some now! Can't wait for my next visit! Cafe Reem is simply fabulous. Go.
I don't normally leave reviews but I was very impressed with the warm welcome me and my little boy received. We only popped in for cookie, cake, milkshake and tea. All of which we're amazing.
The staff were very friendly and made us feel at home. The cafe was very clean and looked great. The menu looks amazing and we will definitely be returning for lunch. We'll done cafe reem! Really worth a visit and I would recommend
Had some wonderful coffee and cake today at Cafe Reem. My fiancé and I shared a Turkish delight mocha, a Turkish coffee with cardamon, a chocolate brownie flapjack cake and a toblerone cake and it was all fantastic. The staff were also very welcoming and friendly. I cannot recommend this cafe enough.
Had a really relaxed and lovely brunch. Lots of choice on the menu. The mint tea was spot on. Hummus was perfect with the fresh pitta. Baklava was fabulous. Nutty, full of flavour and not too sweet. Planning to visit again and try other dishes on the menu. Reem and her husband were very welcoming. Lovely friendly atmosphere.
Great little place. Lovely authentic food, a warm welcome and some delicious desserts on offer. Easy to park so definitely worth a visit.
Great family run establishment with good selection of veggie options too.
Friendly service -only stopped for a coffee and baclava but so welcoming and the food looked so good that I'm sure we will eat there soon xx
Fantastic! We had a lovely lunch today - really delicious food and very kind hospitable owners. The falafel are amazing and the pistachio baklava is syrupy and nutty scrumminess! (Thank you to CR for the baklava, it was very kind of you!)
Fabulous food, first time we ate there today having called a few times for drinks in the past. Will definitely be back
Fab food, great value, a hidden gem Mum and I just discovered. Best of all it's just 5-min from our home!
Excellent food and service. A hidden gem of a cafe. Really fresh and authentic taste.
Delicious food, warm and friendly staff. The place was a delight! We tried some of the Tapas (foul was my favourite) as well as the main dishes. We all sampled each other's food and thoroughly enjoyed the lot! We will definitely be back, (I want to try the brunch menu too) A real find!
Celebrated little one's first Birthday at Cafe Reem. It was really nice to see the whole Cafe Reem's team making efforts to make our event memorable. From delicious and authentic food to personalised service, everything was commendable! Thank you, Reem and team.
Cafe reem did it again yesterday. An absolutely delicious Palestinian Masakhan with Karak tea. For dessert, I had walnut kunafa with a Turkish coffee. Love the home made, freshly cooked food and atmosphere. It's one of my favourite places. Cosy and friendly. Could spend hours in there watching the world go by. Thank you Cafe Reem. Amazing food as usual. شكرا
Best place I have been to in Birmingham . Food and the friendly feel is the best
Dont miss the mint tea ... amazing
An amazing place with great hospitality. Loved the Arabic atmosphere. Will definitely go back. I would recommend it to friends and family. Thank you Reem.
Amazing food, and lovely owner/staff who were very attentive and happy, which in today's society is very welcome indeed
Amazing food and drinks served by amazing staff who are so kind and helpful. Very supportive with Gluten Free too.
Amazing find, food was delicious and authentic ,especially the homemade baklava, utterly divine). This is a family run place and it feels so much more personal with dishes prepared with love than a generic chain coffee shop, love it!😊
Amazing cakes!! This fantastic and friendly cafe is tucked away down Grove Lane and so worth searching out. Park at the top of the hill and stroll down.
A secret gem of a place in Harborne. Well worth seeking out. Excellent food and very friendly service.
Fab brunch. Interesting menu, something for everyone, reasonable pricing and kick ass coffee. Well worth the visit, once you find it.
Very expensive for food that came out of a tin.. not only that I did some work for him and didn’t pay me.. terrible people
