I've been going here for years and always find the folks very approachable and it's a good selection. I just wish they'd open a little longer in the evening, and perhaps vary the selection a little more often. But well worth a visit.

Very top end Wine shop

We were somewhat distressed by the bullying and aggressive attitude demonstrated by what we assume is the owner of the shop. As a young lady and her nan just about managed to get their car onto the car park following a severely blown tyre looking for chivalry and support in their time of need. Sadly I am now lead to believe that there are no heroes up north. As we pulled up to support our fellow women we were confronted with hostility and demanded to move our cars instantly. The shop owner, who had no customers, was probably in need of some action but the tough love approach didn't wash with us. He then proceeded to take notes at our rear end which felt uncomfortable to say the least. It was no surprise that when we drove past on our journey home tumble weed had filled the empty car park.

Just got thrown out of the car park for not getting out of the car for 2 mins or so. Man from shop came out to me and asked what I was doing on my phone. I started to explain but he didn't listen. He said he needed the whole car park just now. Rude and snobbish were words from the last review, and I agree 100%! Very humiliated and angry to say the least.

I had a great experience, just walking from one place to another and found this shop easy to look around and I found person serving very helpful. I bought a great bottle of french wine at this store much cheaper than the not so good french wine in the supermarket. I preferred to shop at this store rather than the supermarket after that.
