Wheels are in motion today it’s so dreary outside we are having a play with some brand spanking up to date wedding cake designs that will be just WOW!!! It’s all about different textures and techniques! We will be displaying on the 21st October Woodland Manor Hotel & Restaurant through an amazing event organiser Affinity Wedding Shows & Events. This weeks wedding cake has just been delivered to a venue which brings back many wonderful memories mainly because my daughter and son in law married there in 2014 ☺️ I will post some pics later but in the meantime I wish the happy couple a wonderful day xx

Not only does Cakes from the House of Arden take orders for Wedding Cakes, but we also make Christening cakes 😄. Here is a picture of the beautiful 2 tiered cake we made for Ava who was christened yesterday! We received a wonderful review too.

Oven is on after a day at the office today 😩 bake bake bake till I drop tonight! Spotify is on full blast and a “small” glass of wine to help 🤪 All in preparation for a wedding cake to be delivered on Friday morning 🤗 xx

I have made many “naked” wedding cakes but this one was slightly different. At our consultation it was impressive that the cake loving groom had so much input! 😁 with a few sleepless nights I spent 1 hour 30 minutes where physics met construction engineering to put this one together today! 😳. Anyway huge congratulations to such a fun and beautiful couple, thank you for choosing me to be part of your special day, thanks for the sleepless nights!!! 😴🤪 p.s. DJ testing his equipment today as I was setting up played what I can only assume was your “first dance” song which made me all emotional and excited for you both xxx #littlethings

This was rather a last minute order for a wedding cake due to unforeseen circumstances with the bride and grooms cake decorator, but having wanted to make ones of these 3 tiered, rustic buttercream designs for ages I was thrilled to be able to make it for them. Mint/choc base, raspberry and white choc middle and good old Vicky sponge on top all covered in lashings of vanilla buttercream and decorated with fresh flowers. 2 wedding consultations this evening both for the very popular “naked” wedding cake design.
