Callestock Courtyard Cottages

Magical May is almost with us and the gardens in Cornwall are simply stunning. There's no better time to visit, the weather is gorgeous, it's just like summer here today.
Thanks to a very good friend of ours David Tarr, here are a few photos of one of our favourite gardens - Trebah - down on the Helford, just one of the beautiful places to visit whilst here with us at Callestock.

Beautiful image of St Michaels Mount in the spring sunshine. The garden looks spectacular! Well worth a visit to this magical place here in Cornwall, but make sure you check the tide-times if you want to walk across the causeway. :D
Callestock Courtyard Cottages

Wow, we're loving the new look at Lifton Farm Shop. This is a great stop off on your way down to us here at Callestock. Pop in for provisions, lunch or just a coffee and cake! We can thoroughly recommend it and we always pop in when we're heading in and out of Cornwall!

Another lovely day in Cornwall, we managed a walk along an empty Watergate Bay beach and then enjoyed watching the sun go down over dinner !!

Another idea for a day out whilst here in Cornwall. Enterprise boat trips are a great way to spend a day. Drift along the River Fal from Truro and spend a few hours at St Mawes or Falmouth. Nick and I love to go to St Mawes and last summer we enjoyed a swim from Summers Beach, we then took the little passenger ferry across to Place, a lovely quiet little spot for walking. Also pop into the little church there, its steeped in history! You can also walk around the coast to St Anthony's Head. The coastline here is stunning. Make sure you're back in time to catch the boat :D.
We've got ideas galore for things to see and do whilst here with us at Callestock in Cornwall.

The last few days in Cornwall have been fabulous with stunning blue skies and gorgeous torquoise seas, just perfect for heading over to the deserted beaches on the north cornish coast! There are footprints in the sand but hardly a soul around.

Amazing footage of humpback whale off the coast down at Lands End. So much marine life to see around the cornish coast at this time of the year, plenty of seals and dolphins too!!

Some of our guests are heading down to their favourite part of Cornwall today, Cape Cornwall. We'd love to know, what's your favourite place in Cornwall. :)

Bluebell season isn't far away now and when it comes to bluebell displays, you'd find it hard to beat those at Enys Garden near Penryn. Nick and I look forward to our annual visit and can't wait to enjoy not only the bluebells but also the peace and quiet of the paths around the garden and ponds. Here are a few photos that we've taken on our previous visits.
Garden is open from April 2 to the end of September Tuesday and Thursday afternoons 2-5pm and Sundays 11am-5pm. Bluebell festival 4-12 May - 11am-5pm.

Baby calves have started to arrive ... and Orchard Cottage is available for Easter 20-27 April. So who fancies coming to meet these pretty babies and enjoying some Easter treats! The days are getting longer and there's so much to see and do in Cornwall at Easter.
The pictures are some of last year's babies, keep an eye out for pics over the next few days of this year's arrivals.

Lifton Farm Shop is a perfect stop off when en-route to Callestock. There are lots of tasty goodies that you might like as a treat whilst on holiday here. Or you may like to grab a coffee, lunch or even one of these delicious looking afternoon teas! We always pop in when we leave Cornwall and again when we return!

We were very lucky to find Callestock Courtyard Cottages quite by chance on an internet search. Trip Advisor reviews reassured us it was going to be a great place. What a find! We loved it. We stayed here last week In Wheal Hope which was the perfect size for the 2 of us. We had really good weather, the location was perfect for so many reasons (close to beaches, close to Truro where I could do some family history research, lovely National Trust properties, the Cyder Farm ....to name a few things). Great suggestions for where to visit and eat from Liz.

We have been to Callestock many times and absolutely love it. From the warm welcome by Liz and Nick, the lovely cottage which feels like coming home each time we visit to the beautiful area it is all you could ask for as a fantastic holiday.

We had a lovely week at the peaceful Callestock Courtyard. The weather was as warm as the welcome. A fantastic place whether you're exploring Cornwall or just chillaxing.

We first stayed at Callestock Courtyard Cottages many years ago when it was our pleasure to meet it's hosts Nick and Liz. We became friends instantly and they are now Godparents to our 3 children who came along a few years later!!! This is most certainly the perfect place to base your holiday in Cornwall, a genuine, friendly welcome, beautiful accommodation where every detail has been thought about, all of the home comforts to come back to after a day out exploring and if you're lucky - a chat with Mary and Jack sitting in the sunshine with a cup of tea!!!

Thanks to Liz, Nick and Benjamin for making us so welcome for our first stay in Orchard Cottage. We had a lovely restful week in your beautiful part of Cornwall. The cottage is beautiful with quality furnishings and luxury linens, cant wait to rebook and return.

Peaceful location, off the beaten track, but a great location to access all parts of Cornwall easily. I can’t remember which visit number this is, or how many years we’ve been coming. Liz and Nick are great hosts.

The accommodation is lovely and very comfortable, furnished and equipped to a high standard, and always spotless. A real home away from home. Bathrooms refurbished a couple of years ago and have a real wow factor.

We keep looking a different parts of the country for a break, but I keep comparing everything to Callestock, and they always fall short, so happily back we come!

My wife and I had such an amazing time. Wheal Jane was absolutely amazing and couldn't find a single thing wrong with it.



It was such a peaceful location and can definitely see us coming back in the future.

Just got back from staying a week in Wheal Hope. The accommodation is homely, well-kept and comfortable, I didn’t want to leave. Liz, Nick and their family are all friendly and welcoming, nothing isn’t too much of an ask, they welcomed us in to the accommodation with open arms. Thank you all so much for a lovely stay from Sanchia and Ben x

Have just had a lovely week here with my boyfriend and his parents and couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay! Perfect location to explore Cornwall and to enjoy the peace and quiet of the cottage! Would love to come back again!

Have just come back from a recent holiday at Callistock farm and can't recommend this place enough. The cottages are beautiful and Liz, Nick and Ben couldn't have been any more welcoming. We even got to name a baby calf, which was born, whilst we were there. Can't wait to come and stay again soon. The perfect place for exploring Cornwall.

Had a wonderful week staying in Wheal Kitty. The cottages really have the wow factor, so spacious and comfortable. Liz and Nick are so friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to go back again next year.

Beautiful cottages in a tranquil setting. Spotlessly clean with all the conveniences you need and some extra luxury touches to make your holiday really special. I love this place. .....and new for 2016.....improved super-fast wifi. Great for planning the day's activities.

An oasis of calm. We have been regular visitors since 2000 staying in different apartments at Little Callestock as our family needs have changed over the years. Liz, and Nick are fabulous hosts alongside Mary, Jack and Ben. The lets are beautiful, all needs met, with plenty of luxury. We wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else whilst in Cornwall.

Always a pleasure to come back here, I'm a little unsure about recommending here as we love it here and don't really want to share it! It's a hidden gem of a place with a warm welcome, good facilities and amenities. (Our 7th time here)

Absolutely wonderful. Would give more than 5 stars if I could. In such a brilliant location. Stayed in the orchard cottage which was lovely and cosy and beautifully clean. Liz and her family are such great hosts. Was a pleasure to meet the calves ÔøΩ would recommend to anyone. We shall definitely be back and look forward to booking our next holiday with you!
