I rode at callum from the age of 11 to 20 also did my riding & care training there with my college years ago! I had the odd lesson few years ago before my youngster was backed as I hadn't ridden for a while as I was training my youngsters on the ground thought it would be best to have a few lessons haha...always lovely horses I've ridden there. Well schooled friendly horses. And beautiful facilities

User

I rode a callum and did my bhs grades with them some 20+ years ago and have since been back for a while its a lovely place with lovely people will always recommend to anyone wanting to ride for fun or for developing and enhancing what skills you may already have best place around xx

I have know Lulu & John for over 20 years and am privileged to call them friends. Lulu taught me over 20 years ago when I was a working pupil at Callum Park and kept my first horse, Tarn there on full livery. I also bought my second, Oliver from there several years later, who I went on to compete in both SJ & Dressage. After losing both my boys through illness and old age, plus having my son in 2009, I'd officially retired from the saddle. However, that was after a little chat with Lulu a few weeks ago. I'd come down to watch my mum ride and she talked me into booking a lesson as I'd be fine (apparently). So after almost 7 years out of the saddle, thanks to her I'm back riding again. I love it and can't believe I left it so long! I can still ride pretty well too and am hoping to keep it up for the foreseeable! Thanks guys xx

User

I have just had my first "Own a Horse Day", and it was fantastic! From start to finish it was a horse-mad girls ideal day. From grooming to dressage all in one day. Our instructor Vicky Jones, made the day both educational and fun.

I can't wait to do it again. Highly recommended!!

I have been riding at Callum Park since it opened which must be about 22 years ago. I have watched it grow into the excellent riding school that it is today. They cater for all ages and

also disabled. There is beautiful off road riding around the land (one of my favourite pastimes)

Yes I still ride there at 81 years old. They have in house dressage shows (which I also like to compete in) They also have showjumping If you want to learn to ride or come back to riding I suggest you come to Callum Park where you will be welcomed by friendly staff and the owners. Come and give us a try you will not regret it.

User

I chose Callum Park on recommendation and have not been disappointed. The staff are wonderful, friendly professional and clearly highly qualified. My daughter loves riding there, not only for regular lessons but also attending for pony days. She has also just had a birthday party there which in Hannah's opinion was 'the best party in the world'. Thank you Callum Park.

User

Had such a lovely time at my daughters 6th birthday riding party. Everybody was so impressed at how much the children managed to do on the ponies. The instructor made it fun for them. The organisation went smoothly. The birthday food was excellent and more than enough (fed the parents too!). The cafe staff were accommodating and helpful. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere around the whole party in a beautiful setting. I usually come away from children's parties feeling frazzled but to I came away from Callum Park feeling totally relaxed knowing that everyone had a great time. Would definitely recommend. Thank you

User

Friendly, safe and fun riding School with well looked after horse and ponies for all abilities. Hacks round the land and jumping in the field in the summer, wealth of advice and knowledge from the instructors, loads of fun activities for kids, in house shows if you like to compete, there really is something for everyone.

User

Fantastic experience for my young cousin, brilliant staff and a friendly environment, was particularly impressed with how clean everywhere on site was. The horses were lovely and seemed to be very calm and comfortable around people. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Callum Park riding school is a wonderful place for your child to learn to ride in a safe, friendly and fun way. It is run by the kindest and most dedicated team I have ever known with a wealth of experience.

When my daughter decided she wanted to learn to ride I was apprehensive, I was worried about her safety and I was worried about the expense, not the cost of a weekly lesson, but the cost of what it may lead to, i.e “ Mummy can I have a pony”.

But at Callum Park, they take care of everything, from making sure they are all wearing the correct, well fitting safety equipment to wonderful ponies who know their job so well, to the brilliant qualified staff.

They even have a plan for when they are so confident they want their own pony with their amazing loan scheme which brings the joy of having your own ponies to children it would normally be impossible for at a fraction of the cost, and everything is taken care of so you have nothing to worry about.

The greatest gifts horses gave my daughter are a brilliant sense of humour and oodles of patience, because nothing else works with a horse. She also learnt that hard work pays off and short cuts never work, but I guess the most important thing is the years of pure joy they have given her.

And an added bonus is, they don’t have time for boys as well as horses until at least they’ve finished A levels.

So my whole hearted advice would be, go for it and book a lesson.

User

Booked a one to one lesson for my daughters 9th Birthday as a surprise after having 6 lessons back at the beginning of the year. We had Beth take the lesson and she was fantastic with my daughter. Hoping I can bring her back again if she gets some Birthday money x

User

We Booked a birthday party for our daughter's 7th birthday. She had a fantastic time with her friends riding the ponies. Parents guided the ponies with a member of staff directing and teaching the children basic riding skills. The lady in the cafe laid on some good food and was very friendly and helpful.
