"I would just like to summarise my experience of meeting Heather. I went to see her earlier in the year, as a result of several different events that had left me feeling anxious and upset. In the space of just a few months with Heather’s help, I feel I have a completely different viewpoint.
Heather helped me understand why I had reacted to these situations, in the way I did - it wasn’t really about th...em, it was more about events that had happened in the past, resulting in a lack of confidence and low self esteem. She helped me to see the things I regarded as “bad” were not necessarily so and that I should be proud of who I am, not perfect but that I have worth.
Heather is easy to talk to and on numerous visits, I would suddenly realise something that hadn’t occurred to me before; because I’d never voiced it, or simply because Heather’s way of communicating seems to bring things to light, seemingly without trying.
In a nutshell she has transformed how I view myself and other people - I doubt myself less, feel less guilt and I’m much stronger and content with who I am. The most astonishing part for me, is the lasting effects of my sessions with her, I still feel great many weeks on and I know she is still there if I need her.
I would definitely recommend Heather as a great counsellor, I just should have gone to her sooner!
