Our team has a track record in managing the reputations of high-profile organisations for over a decade. The law firm Freshfields analysed 78 crises, with reputational implications, that took place between August 2007 and the end of 2012, dividing them into four categories according to the type of event that prompted the crisis; behavioural (triggered by reports of the illegal or questionable conduct of the company in general or by specific employees); operational (crises that seriously impair the company's ability to function properly); corporate (crises that affect the corporate and financial wellbeing of the organisation); and informational (crises that seriously affect a company's IT infrastructure or electronic systems). They found that the number of firms that experience falls in their share price of 30% or more rises from 3% on day one to 21% after one year, while 46% of companies hit by a crisis see shares fall on day one. Camberton advises organisations and individuals both in crisis situations and in building reputation over the longer term via working with the media, government, and other key stakeholders.
