About Cambridge Conference Interpretation Course

➡️ If you want to improve or acquire a language combination through targeted feedback from experienced colleagues whose only goal is to help you succeed – this is your chance. ➡️ If you want to learn to analyze what you are hearing and tell more accurate and convincing stories - this is your chance. ➡️ If you want to learn about and practice everything that goes into making an outstanding professional conference interpreter – this is your chance. The Cambridge Conference Interpretation Course (CCIC) has run annually since 1985. It is a unique, high-level, specialised training course carefully tailored to the needs of experienced practising conference interpreters. The Course is run by Christopher Guichot de Fortis, retired staff Senior Interpreter at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, and Julia Poger, freelance interpreter. The CCIC format is at once intensive yet relaxed, and demanding yet friendly. WHAT THEY SAY: Did I mention it's intense? Like a special forces training camp for conference interpreting. . . Highly recommended for anyone who wants about a year of interpreting practice in two weeks! . . . I couldn't believe the amount of individual feedback we got. I was expecting like two or three sentences in writing after each speech, and instead there were some days that I got 10-15 minutes of feedback from five teachers. That really blew me away. - Corinne McKay 2020I was given the chance to look at myself in a mirror and see the picture from a different perspective without feeling judged. I was given hope for a better future at work, for greater commitment on my side as to how to perform better and deliver more. I was given the tools to work with and build upon in order to acquire more self-confidence and more humility at the same time. - Roberta Prugnoli 2007Thank you so much for this great experience. At certain moments, it has been painfully tough, but extremely rewarding. - Angel Hernandez Frances 2004
