Cambridge Weight Consultant Description
From early childhood, I was overweight. As a teenager I discovered exercise and diet. As I lost weight my confidence grew. While on a holiday, aged 20, I met my husband. The following year we married I weighed 8 Stone 4lbs. Over the next 7 years we had two wonderful sons, each time I lost the weight and was back to my old self.
In others' opinion I was successful, with a career in London. The demands and stress of the job grew as I moved up the ladder. Eating late every day, the wrong foods, drinking the wrong drinks, I began to gain weight.
Fast forward to my 40th, I decided to lose weight and exercise. A daughter of my close friend was battling cancer and inspired me to run the 2010 London Marathon. My eldest son and I ran those 26. 2 miles for Clic Sargent. We gained huge support, lost vast amounts of weight, became very fit and raised over £10, 000 for Clic! I was on a serious high. When training for an event like the marathon you eat a lot to maintain the high calorie requirements. I continued eating the same volume of food, but without the exercise to justify it. The result - I ballooned.
In 2015, I turned 50, I was still in my 'successful' stressful career. We decided to celebrate my 50th with a trip to Asia. I knew I was too big, but it wasn't in me to diet, I was exhausted and I didn't have the motivation. Then I saw the holiday photos I was shocked by how big I had become.
I contacted my local Cambridge Weight Plan Consultants. This was the trigger for my reinvention. I had taken the positive step and joined Cambridge Weight Plan.
I left my stressful job in December 2015 then discussed with my Consultants how I could pass on to others what I had learnt, what they had taught me. I am now a fully accredited Cambridge Weight Consultant. My main function in life has been to help people, get the best for them. I'm still doing that, I am so proud that I can be there to guide and support others along their journey.
