About Cambridgeshire Family Chiropractic Centre - Linton

Do you feel like your work-life balance is leaving you stressed? Our aim is simple: to get you (& help you stay) happy, healthy and well.

Cambridgeshire Family Chiropractic Centre - Linton Description

We are a chiropractic centre with a special interest in helping you before, during and after pregnancy.
Chiropractors focus on the body's innate ability to heal. In order for this to happen, the Central Nervous System (CNS - master control system of the body) has to be able to communicate with the body in order to optimise performance. The majority of these messages come from nerves which pass through the spinal column. This is where chiropractors come in: we aim to maximise the structure and function (physiology) of the spine and therefore the body by making gentle adjustments to the spine, pelvis and cranial tissues. Massage helps to augment this process by releasing tissue tension in the body, thereby enhancing circulation, improving healing rates and overall wellbeing. We offer free checks for children, and ongoing wellness checks for all.

Eating nuts during pregnancy isn't just safe, it's highly advised (so long as you aren't allergic yourself), as it can help your child's brain development. "The nuts we took into account in this study were walnuts, almonds, peanuts, pine nuts and hazelnuts. We think that the beneficial effects observed might be due to the fact that the nuts provided high levels of folic acid and, in particular, essential fatty acids like omega-3 and omega-6. These components tend to accumulate in neural tissue, particularly in the frontal areas of the brain, which influence memory and executive functions."

Sugar craving is due to insulin "spikes" often caused by a stress response in the body: if you are finding that your craving for sweet foods is increasing, remember that sugar is highly addictive and you may suddenly feel you need it when your body is constantly entering a "fight or flight" state., called Sympathetic Dominance.
