**ESHAAN AKBAR: LEGEND** Following his sell-out run in 2017, Akbar returns armed with a copy of the Quran in hand. It’s a much funnier book than people give it credit for. And Akbar's own journey tells him that faith still has a place in modern society. *'Genius stand-up comedy' (Edinburgh Festivals Magazine)*.
**ARCHIE MADDOCKS** Award-winning Archie Maddocks presents an hour of biting, provocative, unflinchingly funny comedy where he explores his deepest and darkest thought...s, exposes his flaws and interrogates his personal connection to Grenfell Tower. Fresh from a stint in the BBC Writersroom, having previously toured South Africa and Europe, this *"super cool, super smart storyteller" (Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke and Evening Standard)* hilariously explores life, love and loss with a candid authenticity, marking him out as a *"real highlight" (BBC).*

One night. Two shows.
**SARA BARRON: FOR WORSE (work in progress)** ‘Queen of New York’s live storytelling scene” (Jon Ronson) and host of U.S. storytelling show, The Moth, Sara Barron’s debut standup hour skewers her husband, her child, Whats App, herself, and, notably, a tweenage sex script she wrote way back in 1992.
... *“Darkly humorous; smart; acerbic” – Bust Magazine*
**LOU SANDERS: SHAME PIG** Yes big topics are discussed (her labia for one), but also shame, sobriety and unrequested sex. Sanders has been a mucky little pig and now she’s rolling around in her own filth for your delight.

Chelsea came to the UK from Alaska on a one way ticket and no real plan, became a street performer, and later a stand up comedian.
This is a coming of age story about learning from estranged fathers, classical opera, Barbra Streisand, and about growing up twice.
Once in Alaska, and then again in the real world.

We’re creeping ever nearest to the Edinburgh Fringe and so it’s time for the new shows to be unfurled. Tonight it’s the turn of Archie (★★★★ ‘poignant, inventive and razor sharp’ Broadway Baby) and Sindhu (BBC Radio 4’s Sindhustan).
This is a 3 week course taking place on Sunday afternoon on the 6th, 13th and 20th May
“An extraordinary, inspiring and illuminating journey of self discovery through the medium of sharing stories drawn from your life and that of others. Be warned, this will move you.” - Chris
Sharing true stories comes from the heart and is a beautiful way to connect with people in everyday life. We are all storytellers and have an innate ability to enthrall people with the stories we tell. ...This is a fun, supportive and experiential workshop: we will share stories, play games and help craft moments from your life into captivating true stories. We will work with structure, performance, voice and other storytelling techniques in small groups where you will connect with others and share experiences with lots of feedback and support.
If you’ve ever asked yourself ‘what is my story really about?’, ‘why would other people be interested in what I have to say?’ or ‘how can I be confident in the story I am about to tell?’ then this workshop is for you. Working with performance techniques we help you bring your story to life by performing the story rather than simply re-telling, embodying characters, movement, experiencing the story again rather than simply remembering what happened. We will help you overcome fears that hold you back from finding your true storytelling voice and you’ll practice practical techniques to transform your experiences and anecdotes to performable stories.
The workshop will be run by Michael Kossew, who has been telling stories live on stage for 8 years. As the founder of Natural Born Storytellers and Tellit Festival which provide welcoming spaces for people to share true stories from their lives, he loves surrounding himself with stories and working with people to develop their confidence and to find their true storytelling voice. Places are limited to a maximum of 6 people.
“This class was amazing, completely changed my perspective on how to connect with people through shared stories. I especially liked learning actionable steps to take to tell a story and learning exercises to get better over time. — Ashwini Agrawal “ “Exceeded my expectations! Learnt a lot and had so much fun. And got to meet a great bunch of people. Awesome. Thanks, Michael” — Valerie “ “I started the day without a story and ended it delivering a story to the whole group which they all enjoyed!!! It has helped me to realise that I do have stories worth telling. Great advice given in structuring stories. I will be back.” — Matt

We're THREE! And we have a helluva line up!
This is the best club in Camden, period. Great people.
Really enjoyable night, will definitely be back.
Just like it should be. Real, grassroots, hilarious, entertainment. I laughed till I was crying. 5 stars.
I'd never been to a comedy night before but had been told not to sit on the front rows as you might get picked on. Fortunately we managed to get seats further back so felt 'safe'.
It was an amazing experience and loved (nearly) every moment of it; unfortunately one of the acts was terrible but the others all made up for it!
Thanks for a brilliant evening, I will definitely be back!!
Had such a great night. Lovely bar staff and security.
Greatly enjoyed Amadeus Martin's Binge Thinking. Great venue too.
Great night watching Funmbi and Eshan! Lovely little venue, really nice staff too. Would certainly go again :)
Great little venue with tables cosy atmosphere and a range of comedians. The wine comes in very large glasses and the tables are cleared for a dance floor after the show.
Five different comedians all great - brilliant finish with 'Yeahman' Joshua Robertson - top night!
Epic night of laughs for a bargin price. Will definitely be back.
Cosy, just as comedy clubs should be! Out of the five acts last night 28 Jan the guy with the keyboard and funny songs stole the show followed by the Aussie.
Cosy intimate venue, we had a great night...Brett Goldstein was hilarious! 👌🏼😂
Caroline Maybe ***** Michael Legge ***** GO AND SEE THEM!
Brilliant laugh! Lovely space 😀🎶😎Will go again.
Awesome food, great music. Funny as hell comedy.
We really enjoyed the Camden Comedy Club. Loved the small intimate setting and the comedian was very good. Will return. 😀
Never been to an event like that before, went with an open mind and enjoyed it! Some amateur moments but it was an improvisation event after all, anyway will definitely go again given an opportunity.
Enjoyable night out. Great performance by Leo Kearse
