Camel Estuary Physiotherapy

About Camel Estuary Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is the science of physical care and rehabilitation. It can help to prevent injury, accelerate healing, restore function and optimise performance. Treatment may include: manual therapy, laser therapy, massage, exercise, muscle stimulation through electrical device, advice and educationOur physiotherapist is a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT). This means we have gained a human physiotherapist degree, allowing us to complete the post graduate masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy. Why is ACPAT important?Currently the title 'Veterinary Physiotherapist' is unprotected, meaning that anyone can use it, without actually having any qualifications. Being an ACPAT member ensures: -We are registered with a professional body (CSP). -We work under veterinary referrals at all times, in accordance to the Vet surgeons act. -Many of our human techniques cross over into animal physiotherapy. We have highly developed observation, palpation and clinical reasoning skills.
