Visited the Chelmsford branch on Saturday 23rd April and was served by Deepak. I originally went in for a look at a lens for my Canon 6D just to get an idea of prices. Deepak was brilliant, he listened to what I wanted the lens fo and make other recommendations when I asked about the 2nd hand lens. He asked what I wanted the lens for and got me to have a play telling me the pros and cons for both the Sigma and Canon. Considering I went in for a look I left with a huge bag with a brand new Sigma lens and sensor and remote.

This shop is a gem and even though I live in Sussex will definitely visit and shop again. Modern looking shop with customers put first every step of the way. Thanks Deepak.

Second lens I've ordered from CameraWorld and I am really happy with the service so far. I've been contacted straight to tell me that it wasn't in stock and as I was going on holidays I asked for a specific delivery date. Only bemol is the delivery company left the lens with my neighbour which I wasn't too confident with. Thanks again

Just been in camera world chelmsford Essex don't know name of lad that served me but he was amazing. I'm not a fan of retail customer services in the UK any more but I was mega impressed today. Staff that know what they are talking about and clearly care about their product. I had the lad talking forever as I needed to ask all sorts of random questions and he was completely thorough and a pleasure to talk to. Highly recommend! Whether you are a pro or a complete beginner choose Camera World.

If I could choose too give this shop 100 stars for a review I would. I was in London on the weekend and searched online for a camera shop and needed a few items. Rang every other shop that London could offer and with no luck. After a deeper google search I came across this company. Gave them a call too see if they got what I wanted in stock AND YES they did! ALL the staff were extremely friendly and should be praised for doing a really good job! If I’m ever around in London and need something for my camera I will be coming too this store straight away!!! I always found Cameraworld to be friendly, knowledgable and very helpful when I regularly used the shop when I worked in Chelmsford. Now I'm not local anymore I have just bought a new Olympus camera online and they were just as helpful and efficient when there was a query on the order and they had to ring me. Jordy was especially good and checked out details with a return phone call very quickly which is reassuring when spending a large sum online. The camera arrived safely next day. Thank you.

Have used CameraWorld, both in-store and online on a number of occasions and can only say that the experience has been great. They have a really good range of items and very helpful with advice when you visit them (Chelmsford store in my instance). Highly recommended for anybody requiring any photography equipment.

I ordered a Zeiss from the site, turned out it was out of stock, I very quickly received a call from Lauren (I think.. sorry if I got that wrong haha).

Her effort to get a lens to me has been great, they called around and even contacted Zeiss to get hold of one. Really good communication, which is reassuring when you're buying something that important, not to mention expensive.



The delivery of my other order was literally over night, items were really !!PROPERLY!! packed and I plan on moving into the box very soon hahaha.

Will definitely be buying from these guys in the future.

A good news story. I ordered a piece of computer software from Cameraworld yesterday. It arrived today. What a fantastic service. They are now my preferred supplier for everything photographic.

Rang yesterday to make sure they had a camera lens in stock they said yes I put the phone down an ordered it and then I get an email saying they haven't got anyway and it's going to take 1-2 weeks when I rang an asked if they had any in they said yes ! Poor service online they need to put on the website if there are any in stock rang to get a refund and that has happened needed this certain lens by this weekend as I am a wedding photographer! I even paid for next day delivery there shouldn't be this option if not in stock!

I had purchased over £3,000 worth of equipment. A few days later I tried to return a travel tripod worth £159. I had not even opened the bag. I was happy to accept a credit note. I also had the receipt. However because I had no box the assistant said he could only offer me second hand price. I explained that I could not recall ever having a box. He said I must have. I have subsequently checked and cannot find a box although I have boxes for all the other purchases.

To me this seems a poor way to treat customers and I said so and that it meant I would not likely to return to buy anything else from Cameraworld. As I left the shop the assistant shouted at me not to come back.

I will not and neither should anyone else.

the service of this company is very poor I spent £1249 and i had the camera six weeks and brought a compact card tried to insert it into the camera and it wouldn't work I phone this company to ask why it was not working they said look at the pins when I look at the pins one pin was bent i was shock and disappointed I contacted camera world again and they said I had done it, so I contacted consumer Rights and they informed me that because I purchase this product from them in last six weeks I have a right for a replacement under the (Consumer rights act 2015) check it out, I would go as far as saying this company behave like criminals and cannot be trusted if any thing goes wrong.

Be warned and do not support Camera World for most of their items on their website is not the true item.



Just experienced the false advertising at Camera World here in London.

The item on their website is not the one on the shelf.

When I asked for the item they show on their website at they gave me the snotty answer they make use of stock photos and are not all as accurate in description.

I mention it is false advertisement and they said it is not. I asked them what to they call it and no reply.

I will not support them at all again.

Ordered online but was told a day later that they didn't have all of the stock I bought. Was then told they wouldn't deliver to the address I provided but wouldn't provide any reasons why. Then I was told my only option was to collect in store myself.



Very unhelpful and didn't care that I was inconvenienced. Will not be shopping here ever.

My camera broke 2 months after purchase.

As i travel and am from Australia i cannot get my camera serviced as Camera World will only send to a UK address. I cannot get a refund as there is only a 7 day grace period.

Had a bad experience over the Easter weekend at the Chelmsford branch. The sales assistant, Deepak had a very arrogant and aggressive attitude. Handled my equipment in an unprofessional manner. This ended up in it nearly breaking and then he claimed it was broken and said they wouldn't buy it in. If you break it Deepak you buy it. I stood my ground until he realised he had no choice. The worst thing about the experience was that an older gentleman behind the counter watched all of this happen and never once stopped his member of staff's attitude. I wonder if this was the manager of the store? It seems your staff need some training because we left your shop and went to your competitor in London and spent over £500 and received proper treatment. Certainly I won't entertain Cameraworld anymore which is a shame as they are local to me ............ be careful people

Bought an xt2 from the photography show, opened​ it up, put in a formatted card, formatted it in camera, took some test photos and file numbering was at 8000ish, the same camera from wex had file numbering of 0001, 0002 etc



Emailed on the 22nd-23rd of march to ask about the issue, called 2 more times subsequently to be told it's being discussed with fuji as all stock was new (fair enough) fast forward to the 14th of April and I've heard nothing i figure 23ish days to get back to me is a reasonable time so give them a phone call.



They seem to be no further on with this and only now tell me i can send it back to them to send it to Fuji, no offer to cover postage and zero offer of a camera to use for my business which is incidentally why I buy my cameras.



It takes me pushing and with extended reasoning and pushing against someone who "from a retail working environment wouldn't expect a replacement or cover camera" and after me suggesting that it might actually just be easier for me to deal with fujifilm direct for him to then low and behold offer me an xt1 as a cover camera.



Who cares that it's less megapixels, slower autofocus and has lower low light capabilities as well as only one card slot eh, it'll have to do.



Essentially I've no idea why the numbers read out at 8000 ish from a new camera but would have expected​ someone to have at least bothered with me within an over 3 week period and then have treated me like someone who's custom they'd like again, as it stands the search for a decent camera shop continues, frankly the grey market likes of panamoz provide better after care, so seriously​ disappointed but I'm kinda getting used to that now.



Maybe we'll find out what's going on with the numbering system, just seems odd to me that it'd read so high when the other new camera and every other I've ever had has read out at 1 onwards.

the service of this company is very poor I spent £1249 and i had the camera six weeks and brought a compact card tried to insert it into the camera and it wouldn't work I phone this company to ask why it was not working they said look at the pins when I look at the pins one pin was bent i was shock and disappointed I contacted camera world again and they said I had done it, so I contacted consumer Rights and they informed me that because I purchase this product from them in last six weeks I have a right for a replacement under the (Consumer rights act 2015) check it out, I would go as far as saying this company behave like criminals and cannot be trusted if any thing goes wrong.

Be warned and do not support Camera World for most of their items on their website is not the true item.



Just experienced the false advertising at Camera World here in London.

The item on their website is not the one on the shelf.

When I asked for the item they show on their website at they gave me the snotty answer they make use of stock photos and are not all as accurate in description.

I mention it is false advertisement and they said it is not. I asked them what to they call it and no reply.

I will not support them at all again.

Ordered online but was told a day later that they didn't have all of the stock I bought. Was then told they wouldn't deliver to the address I provided but wouldn't provide any reasons why. Then I was told my only option was to collect in store myself.



Very unhelpful and didn't care that I was inconvenienced. Will not be shopping here ever.

My camera broke 2 months after purchase.

As i travel and am from Australia i cannot get my camera serviced as Camera World will only send to a UK address. I cannot get a refund as there is only a 7 day grace period.

Had a bad experience over the Easter weekend at the Chelmsford branch. The sales assistant, Deepak had a very arrogant and aggressive attitude. Handled my equipment in an unprofessional manner. This ended up in it nearly breaking and then he claimed it was broken and said they wouldn't buy it in. If you break it Deepak you buy it. I stood my ground until he realised he had no choice. The worst thing about the experience was that an older gentleman behind the counter watched all of this happen and never once stopped his member of staff's attitude. I wonder if this was the manager of the store? It seems your staff need some training because we left your shop and went to your competitor in London and spent over £500 and received proper treatment. Certainly I won't entertain Cameraworld anymore which is a shame as they are local to me ............ be careful people

Bought an xt2 from the photography show, opened​ it up, put in a formatted card, formatted it in camera, took some test photos and file numbering was at 8000ish, the same camera from wex had file numbering of 0001, 0002 etc



Emailed on the 22nd-23rd of march to ask about the issue, called 2 more times subsequently to be told it's being discussed with fuji as all stock was new (fair enough) fast forward to the 14th of April and I've heard nothing i figure 23ish days to get back to me is a reasonable time so give them a phone call.



They seem to be no further on with this and only now tell me i can send it back to them to send it to Fuji, no offer to cover postage and zero offer of a camera to use for my business which is incidentally why I buy my cameras.



It takes me pushing and with extended reasoning and pushing against someone who "from a retail working environment wouldn't expect a replacement or cover camera" and after me suggesting that it might actually just be easier for me to deal with fujifilm direct for him to then low and behold offer me an xt1 as a cover camera.



Who cares that it's less megapixels, slower autofocus and has lower low light capabilities as well as only one card slot eh, it'll have to do.



Essentially I've no idea why the numbers read out at 8000 ish from a new camera but would have expected​ someone to have at least bothered with me within an over 3 week period and then have treated me like someone who's custom they'd like again, as it stands the search for a decent camera shop continues, frankly the grey market likes of panamoz provide better after care, so seriously​ disappointed but I'm kinda getting used to that now.



Maybe we'll find out what's going on with the numbering system, just seems odd to me that it'd read so high when the other new camera and every other I've ever had has read out at 1 onwards.

Bought a Panasonic TZ40, from these guys. within a year it had stopped working, Sent it back to them with the Paypal order. They demanded the original receipt, which I can not find. So returned the broken camera to me. Very unhelpful and poor customer service, when things go wrong.
