Here is my latest customers Defender camper Conversion. The customer wanted a microwave installed for when they are away on a campsite. The wood finish is Zebrano (the most popular finish that I supply). They have gone for two tone grey upholstery and earth brown anti-slip vinyl flooring. Also fitted is a gas heater and the usual fridge, sink/ hob but also an external shower point. The conversion includes a custom roof rack made by MCB4x4 and a 36 Lt water tank. The elevating roof is made of 3mm marine aluminium and has a 120W solar panel.

I’ve decided to sell my Defender camper as I would like to build a new one. Its a 2002 TD5, I’ve had it for four years now and enjoyed every minute. Starts first time every time and gets me to where I want to go every day. I’ve changed the oil and filters every 8000 miles and it’s passed it’s MOT's without any advisories. The vehicle has done 167k miles. There are 4x front spot lights, a front light bar, 2x rear work lights and a reversing camera.
The camper side, as can... be seen from the pictures, has everything you would expect. Fridge, hob, sink, seating, loads of storage space and a bed. The central storage box converts into a double bench and can store a portable loo inside or it can be a useful storage box. You will see in the pictures that it has a single 2nd row seat to give a bit more versatility. This is easily removed and can be left at home or taken out when the bed is needed. There is a 35Lt water tank on board with a trail king shuflo pump and a fresh water filter is fitted. A 4.5Kg gas bottle can stored behind the large cupboard unit and there is storage space for tools ect. too. Elevating roof to allow standing inside and a custom made roof rack with a side awning attached. There is a 110Ah leisure battery and a 100W solar panel fitted. The electrical control unit consists of a split charge unit, 3 stage 16A mains charger and mains hook-up. All lights are LED with 2x strip, 3x spot and 2x outside lights. Note: floor is now covered in non slip vinyl.

Thanks to everyone who came and visited us on our stand at the Adventure Overland Show. We enjoyed the weekend and meeting everyone, despite the rain.

Its that time of year again. Its the Adventure Overland Show 22-23 Sept 2018. Camperhus Conversions will be there with our demo Defender camper. You can come along and take a look at what we do, discuss your camper needs or arrange for us to convert your vehicle. This year we have been very busy converting Defenders and a number of Pulse Ambulances.
We have decided to sell our Defender Camper and buy a new one to convert so if you’re in the market for an already converted camper come see us and ask for Paul

Camperhus Conversions will be at the Adventure Overland show on the 22nd and 23rd September. We will have a demo vehicle so why don’t you pop along and say hello.

Another Defender ambulance. It’s finished in limed oak. This conversion doesn’t have an elevating room but this is an option. It still has all the usual bit. Hob, sink, fridge, loo, shower and seating. Seat converts into a good size bed. There’s also a re-positioned jump seat and lift up flap/ worktop extension. A 40 Lt inboard water tank and storage for a 4.5 kg gas bottle. New water and air heaters have been installed along with all LED lighting. Electrics including mains ...charger and split charging has been included. Extra window and a side door have been added along with blackout curtains, two skylights and a fold away table. Non slip flooring and grey wall covering finishes off the interior. The customer just needs to finish the exterior now.
