"Picking up an award like this reminds us of the history of British brewing, which along with the contemporary American craft beer revolution, has inspired what our brewery is today.’

well!! I am a viclet!

I am the daughter of the late victor Attwood, a man who dedicated a lot of his life giving his support to camera. I hope he hasn't been forgotten. I grew up with camera and the large group of like minded friends of the family. those were the good days. beer festivals all over the country, especially Suffolk!!. buildeston pub crawls for charity. stowmarket beer tents on the green. abbey garden bury st Edmunds beer tents. lots of fond memories growing up!!

User

This is an outstanding campaign and I have been made to feel really welcome as a member. Ignore the negative reviews, they are mostly from modernists who want to bash tradition.

User

No sign of my Husbands 2018 good beer guide, our house has been a nightmare until my daughter contacted Camra as it was a month late as she couldn't take it anymore, fantastic service sent another one out very quickly. Well done great customer service.

User

Joined recently with my wife as we are surrounded by quality real ale pubs and was pleasantly surprised when my pack arrived with loads of money of vouchers for our beer and by beer fest tickets will be cheaper this year to and every pint at a discount can't go wrong .

User

As a fully fledged member and real ale campaigner along with my good friend and real ale connoisseur Oliver Matthew Stirk, I would like to highlight all the good work and tireless effort carried by all he staff and volunteers. Your dedication to the future of ale is second to none. From two happy members. Thank You

User

I've been a member for a couple of years after moving to Denmark some time ago. It breaks my heart to see well run pubs in my old haunts round Manchester go to the wall, or see pubs reducing their offering to a few stale brands that just about keep the place open. So, I say more power to CAMRA and like-minded organisations. They have made, and are still making, a big difference.

User

Just found out that the entrance free for the festival in Cardiff is £10.00 which includes a "glass" no free or discounted entry for CAMRA members or discount on drinks, £10 just to go in and then pay for all drinks- too expensive. Shan't be going this year, going to the pub instead-free entry. Is membership worth it?

Regards.

User

I like the idea of Camra and agree with its ideals... However I get the feeling it's middle Class in its views and seems to accept what I consider high prices... I've seen campaign to reduce taxation but that doesn't allow for the greed of the brewery's. In my opinion any reduction in tax would be quickly be swallowed up brewery's in order to 'maintain profits',

User

Camra please take a stance on the Cask Marque Cask Report to support pubs and drinkers.

I like the cask report, it's always positive and perfectly presented. But this year's is worrying, with the persistent message to the trade to 'premiumise' cask, and raise prices assuming customers who drink cask will just keep coming in and buying it. It's underestimating the fall in numbers of pub goers due to pricing-many people don't visit pubs regularly now because they can't afford to. Rather than fleecing loyal pub supporters who may have been just about fortunate enough to be able to afford going, surely the target now must be getting people back into pubs, affordably, and tackling punitive burdens on pubs which will enable more sustainable profit and generate social and economic benefit. People want to support pubs; it must not become impossible for them to do so.

User

Whilst claiming to be more inclusive nowadays, CAMRA insist on promoting a pub and landlord that think that gollywogs and Britain First make for a pleasant atmosphere for all ale drinkers and pub goers.

They have no interest in emerging from their Jurassic past.

THE BRIDGE INN. CALVER. MATLOCK. Animal Rights Protests against the selling of foie gras on their menu. The owners refuse to stop selling this despicably cruel 'delicacy' - where the ducks and geese are held in crates and several times a day have Food Forced down their Throats. The production of this has been banned in the UK for a long time. I'm all for a good pint - but This is just Cruel as any decent person would agree. PLEASE HAVE A WORD. thank you.

User

Supported them for years, never again. Their old-fashioned ways appal me. Looking after the 70+ generation,.

Run by old farts who don't want to try keg beer

User

Not very impressed tried to find out what was on in the IOM and put in the post code IM1 as requested and it took me to Chester beer festival. Since when has the IOM been in Cheshire?

User

NOT IMPRESSED with the two CAMRA members who walked in to the White Hart in Calne last night and abused the tenant Landlord, who has only been running the place for less than a week for not having real Ales. The fact he had three on that night, DOOMBAR, GEM and one from Box Steam Brewery, obviously didn’t count, because the members didn’t like then owners of the brewery!

My experience is this is typical of CAMRA members towards establishments operated by younger landlords, and is the reason your charity will die within a decade.

User

Honestly, this organisation need to move with the times. Going on national television saying 'craft beer doesn't exist' does a great disservice to an industry currently in boom.

CAMRA, grow up, embrace the craft beer movement and enjoy the great beer the modern era is bringing.

User

Could this be a first for a CAMRA Beer Festival?

The winning beer of the festival was a KeyKeg, Spartacus Belgian IPA from Fixed Wheel, well done Scott Povey

Runner up was Black Voodoo from Fernandes and third, jointly was Fixed Wheel again with Mild Concussion, US PA from Raw and 12 Apostles from BBB.

Congratulations to you all.

Boo Hiss, yer scurvy land lubbers, a pox on you and may you have constant yeast infections

Anne-Marie Thomson, 36, is part of the Withernsea Pirate Crew, a performing troupe who raise funds so they can put on a "pirate festival" in the town.

But, as they were about to perform at the popular festival held in Hull Minster last weekend, she says she was told by a member of The Campaign for Real Ale (Camra) society, who organise the event, she had to "cover up".

User

Bloody Hell - a video outlining proposed changes to the aims and objectives of CAMRA that doesn't show a single hand-pulled pint, but lots of top pressure stuff! What is going on?
