Candy Apple Grove was founded in 2015 by Sam Gamble. Candy Apple Grove is a company dedicated to making local films. In everything we do, we celebrate the local talent and culture. From our live productions to our award-nominated short films, we want to showcase everything our community has to offer.

Our team consists of 5 members who are:

Sam Gamble - Sam is our resident nerd. A writer and director, Sam hails from Cambridge, and always looks to make entertaining and stylish dramas, specialising in high concept plots, inspired by the likes of 'Whiplash' and 'Nightcrawler'. His love for nerd and pop culture led him to making films and The University of Winchester

William Barrington - Will produces the majority of our films, but he also writes and directs. He enjoys exploring relationships in films and writes slow-burning, slice-of-life dramas. His dream is to write and direct sitcoms, being inspired by 'The Office', 'Him and Her' and 'Grandma's House'

Ben Coleman - From Solihull, Ben is our main editor for our films. Ever since he got into Media at GCSE Ben has always known he loved to edit both pictures and films and this continued through college, where he took Media, Film and Photography which lead him to study Film Production at The University of Winchester.

Charles Munton - Charlie is our go-to DOP. Starting at the age of 13 Charlie has always been into cameras, doing many different video and film based courses through school and college leading him to the University of Winchester where he met the rest of Candy Apple Grove.

Daryl Reader - Daryl is our hybrid cast and crew member. Alongside an interest in post-production aspects of the filmmaking process, he is also well integrated into the acting community and plans to pursue that path as well. His particular specialties lie within visual effects as well as the conceptualisation of original script ideas
