There are countless breeds bred with health as well as beauty. Support ethical breeding, for functional healthy dogs, breeds of natural formation. If you do want a Pug, as yes they are characters, please adopt a rescue. There are plently out there in need of love.

Solving the Mystery of Dog Puke! 🤪
Have you ever given your dog something to eat some 5 or 7 hours ago, only for them to puke and what comes out looks pretty much undigested? And worse still, your dog then procends to try and eat the sick all up, lumps and all.
Well, fear not it is nothing much to do with the food given nor your dog lacking some digestive enzyme which has stopped the food rapidly breaking down. And eatting of the sick has nothing to do with your dog being a c...razy embarrassing social misfit; actually quite the reverse!
It is NORMAL for Canine digestion to take up to 15 hours dependent on species of canid. For example, wolves can and do carry food back to the packin their stomachs - and regurgitate it many hours later in almost the same condition it was in when they swallowed it - only slightly digested. The slight digestion adds digestive enzymes, which combined with the mastication process produces a regurgitant that is a high quality food for puppies.
Generally dogs aren't as pro-social as wolves about sharing food this way, and why should they be, dogs are not wolves. But, as members of the canid family, they are still designed to be able to help rear puppies. Thus, a long digestion time is not generally a concern. And all this makes your dog extremely practical - why waste any nurtritionists? Better to gobble it all back down, as mother knew.
