Such a little Gem in the country side it was more then we expected, greeted with a couple of cold beverages on arrival took the edge off our kind trip and the staff & food were terrific ����

Staff were amazing and catered for all of our needs, hotel was lovely! Will definitely be returning and would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

Piping hot, delicious carvery, special mention to Ian the chef for such fabulous food, will be back again.

My boyfriend and I stayed here during Nass Festival and Jim and the staff could not have been more accommodating from still getting us to our room when we arrived late, making sure we never left in the morning (or afternoon in some cases) without being fed first and their all round friendly chat and service!! Couldn’t recommend this place more highly!

Lovely big rooms, comfortable beds, great food . Chilled atmosphere, lovely pub garden . Would defo reccomend. Thank you for looking after us .

Jim and his staff were very welcoming ,nothing was too much trouble for them .lovely room,bed and hot shower. The home cooked food is very good .and the dogs were thoroughly spoilt .looking forward to going again soon !

I went with my dad for the weekend,Saturday evening meal was gorgeous along with friendly,warm,professional staff.Then we stayed over night in a well equipped en-suite room with sky TVs,Wifi,fridge and tea/coffee.Sunday we had a delicious breakfast,then went out to the local Christmas market then returned to canards well for a great packed carvery with again friendly,helpful staff.

I have travelled to visit some friends, just me and my 10months old. When we arrived we were greeted politely and I was helped with my things to the room.

The room was clean and fresh and had everything you would expect.

I couldn't get the WiFi working but that's probably me!

The bed was very comfortable and there was room for a travel cot next to the bed.

My only niggles would be that darker or blackout curtains would have been nice as the room was very bright at 6am... and I would have liked some decaf coffee in the room.

Although the room had a fairly busy road out side, it didn't bother me too much.

I had a nice hot shower and came down for breakfast. Greeted again by lovely helpful staff who pandered to my needs for warm milk (for baby) and decaf coffee for me.

Food was served quickly and was lovely.

Great price and an enjoyable stay.

I had taken a party in for a late breakfast before Wincanton Races yesterday. Brill food and realy friendly service. Been before and still will recomend it . Also pleanty room to park and turn a full size coach around.

I broke down in my newly repaired car yesterday on the a37. I decided to walk to the cannards, as I tend to enjoy a meal there every year on the Carnival day. What a welcoming place, extremely generous and nice people. I may have to call back before November!

Food and service was amazing. I loved the Well feature in the floor and the fact that dogs are allowed in the pub, plus they have live music some nights! Fab night spending special time with my family.

Fab take away Christmas dinner, well done to all the staff. Can't recommend it highly enough, great food and no cooking! Will def be doing it again next year. Thank you once again

Decided to try after living in Shepton for 13 years. Besides marrying the wife, best decision I've ever made.. First class food and atmosphere.

Can't believe I've lived in and around Shepton mallet all my life and have never tried the canards pub until a few months ago for the carvery well it's fantastic good choices of meats and veg good old fashioned cooking friendly staff and very clean if your looking for a Sunday roast this is the place to go highly recommended.

Besides the staff being secound to none,the Food is delish, been in the week and also had sunday carvery,its a must ,Ian the Manager is great and funny and my partner and i have decided to call it our local

As someone from the Enfield area I hadn't been or heard of the place, until last Sunday when we was taken there. We thought it was a great place to eat staff very friendly and the glass topped well in the floor was a good feature
