Canned Laughter

Canned Laughter is a comedy charity night that runs events across London that raise food and funds for London's food banks. Since our first show at Walthamstow's The CentrE17 we have now raised over £27, 000 in cash for food banks plus an absolute haul of food donations. (In 2018 we stocked The Waltham Forest Food Bank for approximately 36 weeks on food donations alone). We have hosted our regular mixed bills at various venues across London, including Tooting Tram and Social, Crate St James Street and 2NorthDown. In June 2019 we hosted an Edinburgh Fringe preview season featuring Suzi Ruffell, Rosie Jones, Lou Sanders and more. We have recently partnered with Berk's Nest on two exciting projects; Canned Laughter: Karaoke Roulette a chaotic comedy /karaoke hybrid night and will soon be hosting a one off large scale night at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre in September 2020. During the COVID-19 pandemic we partnered with NextUp to create Canned Laughter Online a one off event via zoom which raised over £1, 500. Acts have included; Tom Allen, Aisling Bea, Nick Helm, Russell Kane, Desiree Burch, Lolly Adefope, Sindhu Vee and many more.
