A lovely day for our students end of term Christmas Show which was organised by our Level 3 yr 2 students. A selection of ridden and in-hand showing classes along with Fancy dress and some clear round jumping. Well done to everyone involved. A great way to end the term.

Thank you to everyone who came along and competed in our dressage competition today along with the volunteers and judges who help us run it. It was great to see some of our college horses and customers taking part and winning some rosettes. Full results will be posted tomorrow. Hope everyone is home in the warm and drying off! 🐴🌧☔️

What a fantastic experience for our Bridgwater & Taunton College Equine staff and horses today competing at the Westcountry Equine Fair in the Riding Club Quadrille competition for the first time. All riders and horses did amazingly and we came 4th! 👏🏻 Thank you to all who have helped with the preparation and Amanda Birch Dressage Music for our music.

We are very excited for the Westcountry Equine Fair Riding Club Quadrille competition this weekend! Come along and support our Cannington Equestrian Centre RC team who are taking part on Saturday 1st Dec around 2.15pm.

Went here for my first lesson in a long time! Everyone was so nice and the horses are lovely and all in such good condition! Already booked my next lesson!

My horse has been on lately an to cannington for the last few months and I can't fault the care and attention they have given her. I have been really impressed with Hatti and the other people I have had dealings with. Well done Cannington a well deserved pat on the back for all your team.

I've been riding at Cannington for almost two years, and it's easily the best riding school I've been to. The centre has a good number of horses and so can cater to a wide variety of riders with differing interests and abilities. They're cared for wonderfully by the staff who know each horse's personality and history etc., and they are happy to talk to you about this if you ask them. The staff are all very approachable, they will greet you with a smile and will help you with whatever you need. It's easy to see that they work very hard to keep the centre running as well as it does.

I’ve had lessons with a few different instructors at the centre, and they have all helped me improve my riding and taken the time to find out what I want to get out of my lessons. I now mainly have my lessons with Patricia (Trish) and I can’t sing her praises enough. She has helped me with the riding faults I’ve been stuck with for years, and I always feel like my riding is progressing during my lessons. She checks what I would like to work on, and comes up with great ideas if I have nothing particular in mind. She gives encouragement and praise when it’s due, and knows when to push me a little bit more. She’s always completely engaged during the lessons and obviously knows her stuff, she’s an amazing instructor.

I would recommend the centre to anyone interested in starting to ride, or looking for a new place to continue riding. As well as lessons they also offer a variety of courses, events, and clinics for riders of all abilities. It’s such a great place, and I’m so glad that I get to ride there!
