We used to call pampas, the nappy grass! What nicknames do you have for shrubs?

A good use of shrubs can make a garden seem much wider than it is. Seen here, it almost looks like it spans 2 houses.

Keep your walls clear of climbing plants. Hedra helix or ivy, can damage the brickwork and if it gets into gutters, can block them and lead to damp problems.

Wisteria can get quite rampant if left unchecked. Knock the runners back to 5 nodes, so you get some flowers next year.

Willows like growing near water. Watch out if the are springing up near your house. The roots may not be so nice to your property.

Mealy bugs on Cherry. Look for the curling and browning of leaves and the big giveaway, will be the army of ants running up and down the trunk. Have you seen this anywhere...?

Even artificial lawns are not weed free. They still need some maintenance.. 😀
