Canons Brook Golf Club is a well-established 18 hole golf club in Harlow, Essex with over 450 members. ... We cater for all members on a day to day basis, plus we have two functions rooms; a Grade II listed Barn and a very spacious Clubhouse which are used for all types of functions. We require a Chef to work; Thursday to Sunday, this will be a full time permanent position (after a 3 month’s probationary period) with pension benefits and 28 days holiday per year. We are basing this position on 40 hrs per week which may increase at our busiest times of the year. Salary will be negotiable. The position is open to an enthusiastic Chef who will help us build up our catering operation. We already have an experienced Cook and waiting staff but require a Chef who has drive and enthusiasm to grow our business. Congratulations to the ladies of Playgolf Colchester who won the Ladies Open with an amazing score of 90pts! Thanks to Damien for a fantastic course, Danny for an amazing buffet and to all the helpers for making the day such a success. The ladies raised £230.00 for the Club Captain’s charity.
What a fantastic venue with lovely staff, easy to deal with so friendly, nothing was to much for them. We had our wedding reception in the Barn on Saturday the 24th June. An experience I will remember for the rest of my life not just because of the significance of the day but because of the people that made it run so smoothly for us. Thank you Peter, Jo, Clive and the rest of the cannonsbrook team.

The golf course is in fantastic condition and playing today was a pleasure. Thank you to the green staff who were not only busy cutting but blowing away the cuttings to speed up play in helping to find your ball in the rough! Fantastic bacon baguette too!!
The course was in perfect condition, and the trees in autumn a perfect picture.
Also, I was impressed with the dinner, it was good.
Shame the weather wasn't kind for the match between Essex and Norfolk ladies yesterday but really enjoyed walking the course whilst watching and the last three holes are superb, food was excellent and everyone was friendly, will definitely go back and visit again...

Held my husbands 70th Mexican themed birthday � party at their barn. It was just perfect service and staff just great atmosphere we created here was just what we wanted.

Cracking golf course and a friendly club. Worth a visit.
Course was in great condition considering being in the winter months. Greens played ok due to them being frozen. Definitely be going back when the thermometer goes above 10 degrees �

Played Canons Brook yesterday in a four-ball. We were allowed to tee off before our allocated time in order to get out before a larger group, as the course was otherwise quiet. This is a very nice course to play with plenty of variety over the 18 holes and the brook coming into play on a number of them. The third and fourth holes are a challenge as they are stroke index 1 and 2 respectively. The course is well maintained and there is a plan of the hole on most tees. The greens were initially very slow, but quickened up a lot as the round progressed In the sunshine and green staff worked on them. Green keeping staff were very considerate if we were playing our shots anywhere near to them on the course and stopped machinery until we had passed. The are several longish par 3 holes to contend with. My favourite hole was the 17th, requiring a well placed tee shot to the left hand side of the fairway and then an iron to the green over two water hazards. The course is pleasantly undulating but not too tiresome for golfers walking with or without electric trolleys. On completion of our round we had lunch in the Clubhouse which offered a good selection served by friendly and efficient bar staff. Overall, a very pleasant and enjoyable experience, which we hope to repeat soon again. Thank you Canons Brook Golf Club.
