The other recovery of real note though, is another international job...but this time Eagle 2, aka Mick "Alan Wicker" Eustis, didn't even have to step foot on a plane!
A Thwaites Dumper was reported as stolen to us last week, and wasn't talking to us. Again, we were unfazed by this as we've had units not communicate for weeks and then pop up out of nowhere.
The thieves started the transporting process yesterday, getting it over to Europe. Using our contacts, we managed to get... help in the form of the Dutch Politie, who intercepted the vehicle that the Dumper was being taken across the continent in.

We've had a couple of thefts this month that highlight exactly why we are good at what we do (and yes, we are blowing our trumpets on this occasion!)
We often say that our CanTrack Asset is tough, and we fully believe that we can locate stolen units under circumstances where other tracking devices fail.
The proof was in the pudding when a customer reported a Bomag Road Roller stolen at the very beginning of March. The unit missed a couple of scheduled wake-ups (which doesn't ...faze us as some sneaky little blighters have very good hiding places to stash stolen goods where there are poor communication signals), however once the thieves had the machine on the move, the CanTrack Asset picked up a signal and started talking to us.
Eagle 1, aka John, was deployed and hunted down our customers machine. Unfortunately for our customer, the road roller was looking much worse for wear as was the van that the thieves had been using to transport it....
The thieves obviously couldn't stand the heat, but the same cannot be said for the CanTrack Asset!

We have had a very busy few weeks (and i'm rubbish at posting!)
... The saying goes that charity begins at home. Well, CanTrack are doing their bit to help Barnardos keep their fleet of vans that carry out deliveries and colelctions running smoothly following the adoption of the CanTrack GPS systems by Barnardos themselves this month.
Dan, one of our Product Specialists, met with Sandra Griffiths of Barnardos to seal the deal and get the obligatory handshake photo opportunity!

So it's Day Two of the Executive Hire Show!
The guys had a great day yesterday, and our friends from GAP Plant came along to say hello!

The Executive Hire Show is well under way!

We are so so sorry that we've been neglecting our Facebook page for so long...
