I hired the green room for my 30th Birthday which was an amazing and unforgettable evening. The room was perfect, and the barman was great fun and provided excellent service to all my friends and family. Thank you Canvas!

Had the best night out at Canvas. Went to see the Jersey Rollers and got an amazing nights entertainment. Great Venue. Staff were friendly and the wine was very nice indeed. Danced the night away and will be going back again and again.

Good venue, perfect size and attentive staff. Went for a friends birthday, had a table/area booked and were well looked after. Bought a drinks package which wasn't cheap but generous amount of beers, spirits and mixers for the money. Best of all, when we were in taxi we realised my wife had lost her purse, got word to them and not only did they find it but managed to get it to our hotel, with all contents still there, so we could just collect it from reception in the morning! Hopefully not an experience everyone will have but shows they get looking after customers. Would definitely visit again, well done guys!

Overall the venue is great, good vibe, great music and fantastic atmosphere. All the makings of a really excellent night out. What lets the whole thing down is that the staff are very rude, inflexible and bordering on aggressive.. such a shame as it could be a really amazing top starred venue. Perhaps you need to invest in some really professional staff training as the current attitude to customers is letting you down.

Love this venue, however this evening (Craig Charles) the barman at the bar nearest to the dancefloor was rude & kept ignoring my friend who was trying to get served, in the end it took a guy who was also waiting to get funny and tell him to stop ignoring us. The doorman when we first arrived I think lost his personality at home. He told us to keep to the left and walk in single file, there was nobody else there, we thought he was just joking & he turned round and said do I look like I’m joking. Not the usual welcoming staff we have cone to expect.

Saw Guns 2 Roses who were brilliant. The venue is fantastic and would be 5 star if I didn't have to drink lager all night. No bitter! Not even that bottled poncey craft stuff. A rock night without a proper brew is like taking away Slash's guitar and giving him a violin.

We have been to see the Fatback Band here before and have always raved about how brilliant their are, but unfortunately on Friday 3rd we were disappointed.

The support band was terrible and the song engineer struggled to get it right on the night. Vocals were either screechy or non existent. The Fatback Band seem uncomfortable and it all lacked lustre, what a shame as we brought 4 friends who hadn't heard them before. Our excuses about how good the band is wears thin after a while especially as we came from Southampton to see them.

What could have been an amazing night, fell a bit flat!

Thought the staff were rude, took chairs off us even though we were seated. £35 a round and chap said, too many chairs in bar. Looked around and we only people with chairs. Then woman possibly in charge just kept pushing past, no excuse me, just pushed us out of the way.

Love the venue, love the bar, the drinks are good but staff rude

George Michael act tried but missed lyrics lasted 55 mins and was 15 mins late and to be fair was never or is never going to get close the the real thing. Had a laugh though, good fun
