CAPITAL WALKS IS one man and his love of London.
James Florey is a born and bred Londoner with a keen eye & a love of storytelling. He’s been at the top echelons and in the lowest gutters of the capital city over the years. He’s as comfortable speaking with beggars and barons, communists and conservatives, young, old, people from all over the world and from all over London.
His first ‘tour’ was as a nine year old child shouting out all the answers to an irritated sailor on Nelson’s HMS Victory. He’s been regaling stories of history’s movers and shakers, ever since. London is in James’s genes with his London family tree going back many generations.
James sees London through the ‘people’s eyes’ – London’s story is the story of its people, many, many famous, but essentially the masses who carried them to fame, built the cathedrals and castles, worked in the factories, sailed the ships, traded the goods, caught the diseases, fought the law, sealed the deals, ate, drunk, lived and died in the world’s first World City.
James is a trained, qualified, badged and experienced guide. James has worked in some of its most famous and splendid buildings, known one or two of its history makers, and himself been involved in some of its more recent historic moments.
James’s second love (after London’s stories) is people! He is a people pleasing, crowd calling, performing, story-telling pocket dynamo of a walking tour guide. Cost
Each walk will cost each person £6, with concessions for unemployed, pensioners & students.

Chose Your Own
Choice is everything in life! If you want a specially themed walk (for instance a Suffragette walk, a ghost walk, a Blitz walk, a Dickens walk, a film walk, whatever! ) then let James know and he’ll do one especially.
He loves taking groups out for special occasions too – like birthdays, or group day outings, fathers day, whatever.
