Summer has arrived and the fun continues with our Capoeira Summer School. This year we would like to share the fun and games of Capoeira with our very first 3 day camp.
Children from 5+ will participate in a range of engaging activities including; Acrobatics on our 9m Tumble track, A trip to the International Slavery Museum and Activity based learning games.

This is Erin’s story. Erin was having a hard time at school. She was very shy and lacked a little bit of confidence. Last night we had our first kids show at #internationalslaverymuseum and Erin volunteered to stand up and share her story. We are so proud of her and very happy that she is a part of our Capoeira family. The theme of the performance was transformation and we have seen her transform into a confident, funny and dedicated young person. Capoeira for All will be at the Positive Vibrations Festival this June 8th and 9th in Liverpool Baltic Quarter!
It's a great family friendly event celebrating reggae music and positive vibes with loads for the kids: dance workshops, drumming workshops and spoken word, dub poetry and rhyming workshops.
***Children under 12 go FREE and teenagers (13-17) are just £10 a ticket for the whole weekend!***

As part of our 2nd Batizado, we have organised a Brazilian party to celebrate everyone's hard work and have a great time! Work hard, Party hard! You will not want to miss this :) There will be live entertainment, Samba and Forro (Brazilian folk dance). Please feel free to invite your friends along, the more the merrier! See you all there!

Following the trial session will be a 6 week course.
... This course will be exclusively for our Home Ed community and will be an introduction to the wonderful world of Capoeira.

Capoeira is an exciting and dynamic Afro-Brazilian art-form that combines elements of dance, martial arts, music, and play. Rich in a history that dates back to the 1500’s following the enslavement of Africans by Portuguese migrants in Brazil, this beautiful art has survived through hundreds of years of exploitation and adversity, and in 2014 was granted ‘Cultural Heritage Status’ by UNESCO the UN’s cultural arm.
Capoeira has many benefits to both individuals and groups, as it is both a personal and community activity. This means that in an educational setting, Capoeira is particularly effective at having an impact across a number of areas:
 Increases confidence and self-esteem  Develops communication and observation skills  Increases physical and mental wellbeing  Improves creativity and personal development  Encourages team-working and peer learning
Capoeira is fully inclusive and accessible to all, as at its heart is creative expression and personal development. Capoeira really is for All!

Really welcoming and friendly classes that cater for all abilities. The instructors Michael and Akil are very supportive and have the best hair too.

My two boys started capoeria with instructor Jason , personally I wasn't sure if they would enjoy it but thought will give it a try. My boys absolutely love lessons Jason is a fantastic instructor can't wait every Sunday for lessons. My boys now have learnt a lot of movements which I thought they never would do and Portuguese songs they are fantastic at singing , I would highly recommend the classes they are so much fun . Jason thank you for all your help in learning my boys as much as you have and hopefully a lot more in the future.

My boys love their capoeira sessions � I've just been listening to them belting out their now favorite song, Paranaue, in the bath ���

Love capoeira for all ! If you want to get a great work out, elevate your mood and lear new things, I highly recommend you go to Capoeira for all classes. The variety of moves, involved in capoeira works all the muscles in your body. Also, capoeira involves the development of musical of musical skills. It is simply fun and best way to make new friends.

I cannot rate this highly enough! My 5yo has been going to the tots class for a couple of months and absolutely loves it. She has recently started moving up to the older kids class which is a bit more structured but the instructor pitches it at the exact right level for the kids that are there. She has so much fun every week and practices the songs and the Portugese as well as the moves all the time at home.

We've always joked she was going to be a health and safety inspector when she grew up because she's so cautious about everything and would never climb or try anything too scary but in the last month she has pushed herself to climb the highest climbing frames, take the stabilisers off her bike and have a go on big water slides. I firmly believe Capoeira, and in particular the instructor Michael, have given her the self confidence and belief in what her body is capable of, to try new things.

The instructors are fantastic and the atmosphere is really friendly. I would recommend Capoeira for All to anyone who is looking for something for their kids that's a bit different.

I can't say enough about this brilliant organisation. Amazing teachers, classes are loads of fun. It's given my daughter so much self confidence. We love it!

Great initiative and great opportunity for kids to learn movement, rythm and songs, discover a culture, different kind of instruments and learn Portuguese! All of this through a savoir vivre based on respect. Thanks a lot to all the amazing teachers!

First time tonight for my 4 year old daughter and she loved it! Akil was a brilliant instructor full of energy and joy. We are deffo signing up.
