Just the best ! From so organised staff thro to a crispy tasty meal at home can't be better.

Okay food..The batter is light and not greasy.And my hubbie loves the spicy curry sauce.Star knocked off for the lack of chips.They ram everything into a box and the other star is for the moody girl behind the counter.

Always great fish and fresh,we like their plaice especially. Friendly staff.

Lovely staff. Fresh cooked food. Big portions for the price. Really meaty flavoured gravy and lovely homemade tartar sauce

I've been using this chip shop for years now and it's always been good , however I recently purchased a lightly battered haddock for my toddler, after she had eaten half of the fish I noticed the fish they served me was riddled with red round worms
Doubt I will visit again

I'm motivated to leave a review because of those two negative reviews from a year ago. I recently started coming here because of their gluten free options and I've never met a nicer lass behind a fish & chop shop counter. There's a lad, too, I didn't get much chance to speak with him but certainly not rude. Happy service, great fish & chips and a full set of gluten free options. We won't go anywhere else now.

Absolutely poor service. That place is definitely going down hill. The staff is very rude and impolite. I'm never going there again! I don't think it deserves 1 star to be honest. I highly recommend using north bay fisheries, and silks they both have excellent customer service and great food. i went to get some fish and today and they were closed. there were no signs or anything stating why or how long despite the 11:30 opening hours it is now 3:30, they were meant to be open at 11:30 according to their sign and website this place has very poor management

Well said Joe. this is the worst fish and chips I've had in Scarborough, The chips were pale, limp and flabby and the cod had a horrible dark brown, mushy batter instead of normal crispy batter. The consistency of the fish was as dry as a bone.

But probably the worst aspect of the whole meal was the horrible smell and taste of old meat fat that left a foul taste in your mouth.

Easily the worst fish and chips I have ever tasted - so bad in fact, I didn't even give the leftovers to my
cat and he eats pretty much anything-----DO NOT GET ANYTHING FROM THEM!!! Goto north bay fish and chips
