Capriole Academy of Dance has been established since 1989 in Audenshaw.
Capriole Academy Of Dance Description
Dancers are regularly entered for B. B. O. Graded and Major examinations and have achieved 100% pass rate to date. The B. B. O. Syllabus is recognised around the world and enables suitable students to progress to full time dance training and careers. Students have been accepted on Dance related courses at Preston College, Liverpool John Moores University, Leeds City College and the Northern Ballet School in Manchester. One Senior Male Student began training at Northern Ballet Vocational School in Manchester with a full scholarship, and a Female Student gained a Junior Ballet North B. B. O. Scholarship. Students have auditioned and have been accepted and involved with English Youth Ballet performing The Nutcracker in Manchester and Coppelia in Preston. Students also have the opportunity of enjoying Dance Days at Elmhurst, the prestigious Vocational Dancing School in Birmingham. Capriole was asked to do the very first Wayne Sleep Workshop in Copley which was repeated in 1998 at the Northern Ballet School Studios in Manchester.

Congratulations Capriole Dancers on your Exam results:- Young Sophie who had to take her Primary Ballet Exam on her own at the last minute was very brave and still gained a MERIT, nice one Sophie. No. 1: Henry gained MERIT in Grade 1 Ballet & MERIT in Grade 1 Modern. No. 2: Rose gained MERIT in Grade 1 Ballet & DISTINCTION in Grade 1 Modern. No. 3: Phoebe gained DISTINCTION in Grade 1 Ballet & MERIT in Grade 1 Modern.... Holly gained MERIT in Grade 5 Ballet & MERIT in Grade 5 Modern. Hannah gained MERIT in Grade 5 Ballet & DISTINCTION in Grade 5 Modern. Imogen who recently gained Distinction Star * in her 2nd Major Ballet Exam also gained Distinction Star * in her Grade 5 Modern. Tim, Phils brother and my brother in law has died. Tim started with an aggressive form of multiple sclerosis after getting his degree and he gradually became disabled and has suffered greatly over the years until finally ending his battle aged 55 years. Tim was surrounded by his family and is now in peace. The photos I have posted are from Caprioles first show in 1993 and the letter was personal to Capriole Dancers from Tim ❤️ xx Tim had been an all round athlete before the onset of MS and the nicest person it was possible to meet and we feel sure if it had not been for the illness he would have continued as a writer and poet ❤️ The posted letter was the last letter Tim was able to write ❤️ xx

I would just like to wish all Capriole dancers, past and present, families and friends a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Also a big thank you to all those who have sent cards and presents to hubby Phil and myself, you are so kind. Hope you all have a lovely time being with those you love and a special wish is sent for those who have family no longer with you in the hope you can ease your hearts with all the lovely treasured memories ❤️ xx ❤️
Just to say a big big thank you for my flowers, I love them but I think you know that already. Capriole students you put on a fantastic performance on two nights at the studio and we had a great audience each night. I will post photos and videos when I have finished antibiotics but for now enjoy your break, you have earned it. I also have great photos of the audience participation, watch this space, ha! We have also done very well raising for Alzheimer’s. great job 😀 and big thank you to the two helpers, we couldn’t have done it without you 😀 xx
