Capstan Sailing is a professional and ambitious sailing events company, keen on maintaining our excellent reputation and providing the best possible service to our customers. This means we have the best yachts, best instructors, best teaching materials and most importantly, lots of experience and enthusiasm! We own our own fleet of racing and cruising yachts, in the UK, Malta and the Caribbean (Martinique). These are available for racing and cruising charter, skippered and (given suitable qualifications) bareboat. Our corporate events and team building programmes are legendary. We organise big sailing regattas for 50 plus boats and more than 500 participants! We look after our clients exceptionally well and make everything ‘our domain', so that all you have to do is sail. Our annual racing programme includes JPM Round the Island Race, RORC series, Cowes Week, Rolex Middle Sea Race, Fastnet and the Caribbean racing season. We also run race training courses all through the year in UK and Malta. Capstan Sailing School is a recognised RYA Training Centre. We offer theory courses up to RYA Coastal /Yachtmaster Offshore level, as well as First Aid and VHF DSC. We won such prestigious awards as Best School Boat of The Year by Royal Ocean Racing Club 2019 and Best School Boat of Rolex Fastnet Race 2019. We run our practical courses from our base in Mercury Yacht Harbour, and offer RYA Day Skipper, RYA Coastal Skipper, as well as preparation (and exam), for your MCA qualifications.
