Right then peeps! We just remembered Halloween is around the corner and it's traditionally been our responsibility to make sure Woolacombe is the place to celebrate it! The disco has got a huge night on next door so we couldn't let it pass without getting a bit gory and throwing the usual fancy dress shenanigans out there! The decks will be pulled out of the closet and the Juvenile Delinquence will be resurrected to give you all the funk and bass one might require for such an occasion! It's always a banger so see you there!!

WOW is the one single word that can describe John Fairhust live!! We thought it was a funny little one liner when first seen him tagged as "Wigan's answer to Jimi Hendrix" but he is actually the closest thing you'll get! HA! To say we're excited about his return is a slight understatement!
Acoustic Guitar Magazine USA recently identified Fairhurst as one of the Top 3 Resonator guitar players worldwide – the only European on the list. We could go on with all his accolades etc but just trust us when we say DO NOT MISS!!

Captain Jack's would like to welcome The Odd Folk to our first Sunday BBQ Sessions of the year. A fine band to kick off the season, The Odd Folk, play a gentlemanly style of folk layered with luscious harmonies and delightful melodies. Since their inception they've toured the UK several times and also gigged across Europe to receptive audiences. The duo will perform a stripped back set for our more intimate audience, so don't miss this treat.

We’ve managed to tap into something quite special this year having two stupendously talented singer songwriters on our team so you shall be seeing a lot of them this summer! Starting this Thursday with an all new open mic night starting from 8pm. Come down and chill with a few drinks with us or better yet if you’re a muso get involved! 🎤🎹🎷🎺🎸🎻🙌

one of the best restaurants i have ever been to the food is to die for and the staff are very friendly .We go to Jacks everytime we are in woolacombe which is about 3/4 times a year sometimes we eat there twice during our stay which is usually a weekend so very very fond of Scott and Maz thanks guys xx see you soon xx

Went here last night with family and friends. Fantastic service and quite possibly THE best dinner we have ever had! Well done chef and staff. Fantastic start to our Easter weekend! We’ll definitely be back! ��

We highly recommend the restaurant at Captain Jack's, my daughter is Gluten Free and can worry where she eats, not here! The chef owns the restaurant part, he and the head of house are clued up on GF and offer quite a variety, separate fryer for chips for GF, personal service from the chef to the table for my daughter, they go above and beyond!

None GF amazing too!! And they allow nice quiet doggies and give them a treat!

We had a lovely family meal here last night, as a coeliac it's sometimes a struggle to find somewhere to accommodate mine & my Daughter's dietary needs, but this was no trouble to the staff here!

Would definitely go again and would highly recommend! �

We had Sunday lunch and found it was little expensive but well worth it, also the beer was a tad on the expensive side but the atmosphere was brilliant always makes you feel welcome so will return later in the year hopefully.

We couldn’t recommend captain jacks more! We walked through the bar down to the restaurant and from then on it was just fantastic!!

The service was on point and the food was delicious! Literally a brilliant gem hidden in the heart of woolacombe.

We have eaten in critically acclaimed restaurants and this beat them Hands down!!

The food is at a brilliant standard and the chef is a credit to the venue.

Plus it takes dogs for all those dog walkers out there.

We come here every year when on holiday. The food is always amazing and the staff are very friendly and polite. Very understated place. Love it.

Visited with some friends whilst on holiday... in total we visited 3 times! The food was great and they were very flexible with my friends who were gluten free. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed and staff very friendly! Would definitely recommend!!

Visited captain Jack's this evening on recommendation and found the food excellent, well presented and staff attentive.

This pub was such a great find! We are down in Woolacombe for the weekend and always enjoy good pub grub, and Captain Jacks far surpassed are hopes. We all enjoyed are sandwiches ( the fish finger sandwhich is freaking amazing ) and the staff were lovely and very inviting. All together a great visit, I can't wait to come back!

Sat in the garden for a drink with all the family.

The bar lady wearing glasses was so polite and even entertained our daughter, while she collected glasses.

Probably the friendliest staff we have come across in Woolacombe. No, they are the friendliest staff in Woolacombe.

Oh and prices not too steep.

Lovely for all ages with a good range of drinks and a fantastic beer garden. Sunday afternoon entertainment in the garden was brilliant. Caters for families with children also. The adjacent eatery servers fantastic tasty food and the staff from both parts friendly and welcoming. Well worth a visit

Just about the coolest place to go if your into pirates. Yes it's cheesy on the face of it but delve deeper you will find the music, the food the staff are all great and if you like red stripe as I do well, you've found treasure!

Defo coming back, I might explore further than the courtyard beer garden next time, then again it was such a great space with history dripping from the walls Im sure you'll understand why we didn't. Great place!

Great place for all the family the foods fantastic all homemade bit of a wait but what do you expect for good food that isn't processed or microwaved well worth a trip , and the Sunday music was great too it ended up being 'our local' on our visit will definitely see you again next time Xx

Booked for a big group for a stag meal out (23 hungry fellas). Mazz, Hannah and the chef were awesome. Food was absolutely blinding - great value too. Stayed on for some ciders too. Can not rate highly enough.
