What can I say a-m-a-z-i-n-g. My husband and I just had a break away here and I cannot fault it. We had a beautiful sea view room that was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Both our 5 course evening meal and breakfast were outstanding. The spa was just wonderful, the perfect place to relax with the most stunning views. Last but certainly not least all of the staff that we encountered were polite, helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for such a gorgeous stay. We will definitely be back x

User

We have just returned from an absolutely fantastic afternoon at Carbis Bay Hotel. My Wife and Mum went to the lovely Spa for a manicure and then we joined them for the Easter Egg Hunt. This is such a wonderfully generous event put on by the family-owned hotel which our 3 year old (and 5 month old!) absolutely loved! The whole afternoon was just perfect - from the Egg Hunt, to the complimentary scones, treats and hot drinks and just the amazing surroundings of the hotel itself and the views of Carbis Bay.

My Wife and I got married in the Carbis Bay Hotel in 2014, and we visit at least once a year to re-live those amazing memories and just immerse ourselves in the warm, friendly atmosphere created by all the staff.

It is so special to us that now our children find the Hotel such a magical and breathtaking place, as we do. It is these little touches like today’s egg hunt that will keep Carbis Bay Hotel so extremely special to us, forever. Thank you again!

User

We had the best time...only supposed to stay one night, but due to snow we had to stay another!..sadly had to make it home today by catching a bus!

The Staff were great from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, nothing was too much trouble..all so professional and welcoming.

Food was delicious, Service was superb, again could not fault.

We met and chatted with some lovely people..all stranded together... (can think of worse places to be).

Our room(s) were fantastic...we were lovely and warm...the only one slight negative comment i could make was that the rest of the hotel was on the chilly side..resteraunt and conservatory in particular..i hadn't packed any woollens as I was expecting it to be well heated.

But other than that it was outstanding..we will be back to pick the car up when the ice has melted

User

We had a wonderful stay at Carbis Bay - the hotel itself is beautiful and in gorgeous surroundings; the staff and the service they provide was professional and friendly. Dinner and breakfast were both fabulous. We had coffee on our second day at the hotel beach restaurant which despite being next to the hotel’s extensive expansion was minimally disrupted; some noise but not at the level you’d expect from the amount of building work they are having done! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone wishing to spend a few days so close to St Ives!

User

The hotel is lovely the food is fabulous couldn’t fault it ...my compliments to the chef the waiting team are excellent ..

The one thing that lets it down is the spa facilities they are to small and it doesn’t have steam room plus the outside pool was closed and outside shower didn’t work .. a little disappointing when I needed to cool down...

Would I return ? yes I would because the Hotel has a wonderful feel about it and team are great, the food outstanding.. setting wonderful..so give it a try even if it just to dine..

User

Superb hotel. Great location, with direct beach access. The staff were very professional and helpful throughout our visit. The food was faultless and the waiting staff were very attentive. The room was very clean and comfortable. The pool and spa was sufficient but as the pool and Jacuzzi were outside and uncovered, we spent probably less time using these facilities than we would have expected due to the poor weather. Will definitely revisit and highly recommended.

User

Stunning place. Amazing view if you are able to get a sea view like we had with balcony. Even though we came down in February we kept the door open throughout the night so we could hear the waves. Awesome.

Lovely room / bathroom. Very large comfy bed. Probably the best food and service I’ve ever had. Will definitely return at some point!!! And just down from the train station. Perfect

User

My partner brought me here for my 30th birthday. Stunning! Lovely hotel and the spa is one of the best I’ve experienced of any spa hotels I’ve stayed in. We’re usually ‘rough and ready’ outdoor, camping types - so to have a little luxury like this was so lovely. Only small things were amiss, such as no toiletries provided, fortunately rectified the second I let reception know. No milk for the tea/coffee in room either - just little touches forgotten about, mistakes happen. The hotel has a lot of work going on at the moment on the beach front. The noise didn’t bother us whatsoever but I can imagine some people would love to complain about that, so maybe it would have been advisable to warn guests of this? But like I say, it wasn’t a problem for us. Absolutely loved our stay. The food was exquisite and the servers were great. Thank you!!

User

I have spent a week here through SAGA and have had a fantastic time ... all the staff have been so friendly and approachable... I have used Spa for two different treatments just pure bliss also used pool and hot tub which is such a luxury... staff at spa made me feel very welcome and relaxed and even tailored a testament to suit my health needs which really benefited me thank you ... the food has been amazing such a varepiety and the use of all different flavours has been a wonderful experience and of course eaten far too much many thanks to all the chefs and kitchen staff ... at the end of each of my days have returned to my bedroom all clean and tidy which has been wonderful that's to all the staff who worked so hard every day cleaning rooms ...Thank you all for a wonderful stay with spectacular scenery sorry to leave but will be back .., Sara Wasem

Had the most amazing treatments yesterday the signature serenity by the sea

from the moment I arrived I felt very special by all the staff after my 2 hour treatment I relaxed by the pool with lunch as the sun was out all round thumbs up thank you

User

Had a lovely four days away at this lovely hotel, the staff were very hospitable, kind and friendly and welcoming.

The food was amazing along with the facilities, our room and grounds and surrounding views.

I would certainly recommend staying here and myself and my girlfriend will certainly be coming back.

Fabulous hotel in a beautiful part of Cornwall, everything about Carbis Bay Hotel, from the welcome, customer service, food and decor is all 5 star. Special thanks to Nicole for making our wedding day better than we could ever imagine. It didn't matter that it was just two of us we were treated like royalty and the attention to detail was no less than that of a much more lavish wedding. Carbis Bay Hotel is a wonderful backdrop for wedding photos, don't be put off by the current building works as this didn't affect any aspect of our wedding day or the rest of our week stay. The contractors are considerate, tidy and even offered a wave first thing in the morning. Looking forward to returning in October to view the progress.

We got married in the garden pagoda which has sea and garden views perfect for an intimate wedding, Nicole advised on a local florist, photographer and hairdresser three fewer things for us to worry about, the spa staff particularly Gilia who ensured wedding makeup was perfect and would definitely, recommend the spa treatments a massage is a perfect way to relax before the big day.

With the help of Nicole, i managed to book my wedding gift to Michelle a day on the hotel's Sunseeker yacht, 50' and 30 tonnes of sheer luxury and if you have the opportunity its well worth booking it, we had an amazing trip, John the skipper was fantastic and the afternoon tea and champagne were plentiful.

Our week's stay was topped off by the amazing food that is offered, not only in the Sands restaurant but in the Beach Club and the sister hotel The Ganet, no matter where we dined we were thoroughly spoilt, would like to give a special mention to Enrique and Calim and their team who were fabulous from dawn till dusk.

Its just left to say a huge thank you to the entire team at Carbis Bay for making our wedding day the best ever, can't wait to return.

Completely restored my confidence in Carbis Bay. Checked into a superior room which was above the kitchen and extractor fans. Moved by the manager and offered an extremely kind gesture and apology. Things go wrong but it's how you deal with them thank you so much !

User

Carbis Bay Hotel is probably the most beautiful place I have ever been to! The staff are all amazing and the food is to die for! Our room for the night was so perfect with the most stunning views. Everyone at Carbis Bay Hotel went above and beyond and made our engagement such a special memorable day. We will 100% be coming Back!

User

We spent two days at the hotel and the accommodation, staff and meals were excellent, with the one downside being the building work that is ongoing to provide additional Lodges / Apartments. We booked through Secret Escapes so got a great deal, but had we paid full price we would have been extremely unhappy with the level of work ongoing and the number of lorries and delivery vehicles around throughout the days in the very restricted roads around the hotel

User

There were horrendously noisy building works taking place during our stay which we were not forewarned about.

We paid £350.00 per night x 3 and the photos of the “superior room with sea view” just didn’t match out expectations. Room absolutely tiny, I have seen bathrooms bigger than this.

The trip was for our Honeymoon and the building works and the small size of the room really affected our stay.

The staff were lovely and I cannot fault them as ultimately they’re not in charge of the rate we paid but the owners need to look at this and start to be honest with their hotel guests upon booking. Honesty is the best policy!

I did complain re the above during my stay and the reception manager offered me a slightly larger room but it didn’t have a balcony and that’s what I had booked and thus wanted in my “superior room with balcony.” Your photos of this room need to be a true reflection of the size it is.

The reception staff could see how distressed I was so I would have thought something better could have been offered to us in compensation e.g some complimentary food or a treatment.

We spent a further £214.00 with the hotel on drinks and treatments. (After the £1,050.00 for the room). I would have thought after the room disappointment and the horrid building works they could have knocked this off our bill out of courtesy or good will.

The hotel is truly beautiful but I would be very hesitant to recommend it at present.

User

On arrival we went straight to the spa had a lovely time, the staff was really friendly and professional. After the spa we checked into our hotel room the room was really nice lovely decor sea view etc. However absolutely freezing all radiators on full whack but the sash windows had an extremely bad draft coming through the entire window.(literally felt like the window was open all night) this really put a downer on our trip.me and my wife went to bed in our coats with 2 quilts and stuffed pillows on the window sill to stop the draft we was still trembling all night!! Hotel really needs to invest in double glazing windows.Evening meal was nice however I paid 8 pound supplement for the lamb and had a piece of meat the size of 2 pound coin was not impressed at-all.luckily our food was included in the deal as there is no way I would have paid the extortionate prices listed on the menu.I was still hungry after the meal so ordered a burger and chips to my room.Apart from that lovely hotlel and staff was really nice.

User

How disappointing. Stopped off at Carbis Bay Hotel for an afternoon tea circa 4yrs ago and was blown away by the quality, quantity, price and friendly staff. Promised ourselves we would return one day, which we did last Thursday, the 31st May. What a change. The afternoon tea was a huge disappointment! Hardly anything there, tasteless and price had almost doubled! The staff were rude; almost as if it was too much trouble for them! We certainly won't be returning.

User

My husband and I received a 1 night stay as a Christmas present and we were due to stay today, 3rd March. Regrettably due to the severe weather conditions in our home town we were unable to travel to the Hotel. Upon ringing the Hotel to explain our circumstances we were told that they were unable to let us rebook the stay at a later date or make a refund. We were also extremely disappointed that they could not even make any gesture of goodwill such as, a restaurant voucher for us to use at their hotel at a later date. Therefore, we will not be recommending your Hotel or visiting again.

Perfect

Thank you!!

Had a lovely four days away at this lovely hotel, the staff were very hospitable, kind and friendly and welcoming.

The food was amazing along with the facilities, our room and grounds and surrounding views.
