Carbon Savings Alliance Description
The purpose of the CSA is to provide a range of services and functions designed to support other social landlords and local authorities deliver energy efficiency and carbon reduction. We are divided into three service areas.
Funding
Funding has a major impact on recommended measures, which is part of the 10 step Carbon Charter. Our consultants will create a variety of options with optimum funding opportunities to support your planned spend. Our website provides up to date news to ensure you are fully informed. Our close working relationship with the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and the energy companies keeps you informed in real time.
Procurement
The key to a successful project is to ensure good value for money. The CSA has a wide range of experience in dealing with complex framework agreements. This experience enables the CSA to procure within a widespread area and at an expert level using our OJEU process. Our OJEU process presently covers EWI and PV but is being extended through the year to include Renewable Heat Incentive products and other related services.
Consultancy
We have established a specific range of consultancy services designed to support CSA members in understanding energy efficiency and carbon reduction, for both their customers and their assets. Our approved consultants are able to carry out detailed projects directly with your asset teams to produce an energy efficiency and carbon reduction strategy. The CSA has developed the Carbon Charter which is a 10 step plan towards delivering your energy reductions. Uniquely the CSA is able to underwrite their costs through savings made and funding generated.
