I picked up a camera in April 2011, and I havent stopped learning new things. I have lived on my computer since then teaching myself new skills, networking with other photographers, showing off my work and when times are tough, looking for inspiration. I want to thank everyone for their continued support along my new journey, I really appreciate it!
As I am qualified to do make-up I want to show you all my photography /make-up skills combined this year. I have a relaxed attitude towards my work, I go with the flow and make my clients feel welcome and relaxed and this enables me to capture the best images!
I come back from shooting and immediately evaluate my images and pinpoint what I can work on next time I’m out. This helps me learn from my own mistakes.
I also pinpoint what I like about an image and why it stands out so much. I like my work to be different, all work I do I try and make it different to what I have already done previously.
One year on from starting my photography journey I was chosen from a number of Trust-Supported photographers across the UK by Rankin to work with him on the advertising creative for The Prince’s Trust Tomorrow Campaign.
For me this was a dream come true, I never expected to come this far with my photography so quickly.
The shooting for the campaign was a lot of fun and I thoroughly enjoyed myself, I can”t thank The Prince”s Trust enough for helping me to turn my life around, so the fact that this campaign will be raising vital funds to help other young people, is the icing on the cake!
Overall my favourite part of the day was shooting Rankin himself, that’s a high you can’t come down from so easily!

I became a Young Ambassador for The Prince’s Trust 2 days before the biggest meeting of my life. I am so proud to be a Young Ambassador for this amazing Charity! On the 28th May 2012 I travelled to London to meet with Prime Minister, David Cameron to speak about unemployment in young people through The Prince’s Trust. It was such a great day, hearing some inspiring stories, meeting the people behind the stories and letting everyone know how much this Charity had changed my life. It’s not every day you get the chance to meet the Prime Minister! ! Microsofts search engine Bing was my next stop. My work had made it onto the Bing homepage on the 28th October! I’m thrilled that my photo was featured on the Bing homepage. The image is a reminder of the great British summer we’ve enjoyed, and for my image to be seen by 11million Bing users was such an amazing feeling!

Then we had The Prince’s Trust Celebrate Success Awards held at Aston Villa Football Club on the 22nd November. I made it as a finalist and I’m very grateful for that. . couldn’t be happier to have been nominated in the first place! Great event and some very inspiring stories. December I had my work exhibited in Parliament, what an amazing feeling that was! Such an oppertunity. I’m greatful for all the oppertunites I have been given!
