Just had a fantastic meal with my husband. Food piping hot and fresh. Tiger prawns with chilli and whitebait for starters, I had oven baked place and my husband had beer battered cod ( very generous portions) followed by a baileys brûlée, all home made and perfect. Finished with two coffees which came with a homemade biscuit. I can honestly say Carey’s takes some beating not just for the food but also for the lovely friendly and welcoming staff. We will definitely be back. ����

I visited here on a whim this afternoon with my OH and baby. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The interior is nice and the tables aren’t squashed together. There is plenty of room with a pushchair. Our meals were really tasty and good portion size. I look forward to going back there soon. Highly recommend.

We have never been here before but both me and my husband are seafood lovers so we decided to try it. I ordered mussels and he had the seafood platter for one. My daughter who is 4 years old had the pasta. Both the adult meals were good, but the children's pasta was very bland and just tasted like someone just emptied a tin of crushed tomatoes over it without any seasoning and without any Parmesan cheese, which I found pretty disappointing. The children's choices are pretty limited, and the pasta seemed the healthiest option. What a shame that a steak and seafood restaurant does not have a fish dish or a steak for children- not all kids eat chicken nuggets or fish fingers. If the children's food was as good as the adults, it could have been 5 stars.

Do not order cold platter. It did not have crab meat, the tiny shrimps they had on it was clearly not fresh. The only good thing there was smoked salmon. Thats it...
