Caring Together

We are a charity that operates across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and Norfolk providing support to family carers and the people they care for. Caring Together offer a range of support for carers and people they care for including: * Information and advice - Expert advice available to you online, or from our helpline, free magazine and email newsletter. * Learning and skills for caring - Sessions online or in-person so you feel more confident and equipped to look after someone. * Planning for emergencies - Help to plan ahead and have support in place in case something unexpected happens. * Breaks from looking after someone - Meet with others at one of our groups or trips, or have a care professional to step in and give you a break. * One-to-one support - Befriending, listening or counselling to help you cope better and feel stronger. * Homecare – for the person you support, in their home or to help them be involved in the community. * Carer's card - A free carer's card proves that you look after a family member or friend. We are a network partner of Carers Trust, Britain's leading provider of support for family carers and the people they care for. We are proud to support more than 17, 000 carers, their families and the people who support them, every year, but there are an estimated 150, 000 carers living in our region. And this number is rising. We employ trained professionals, providing flexible services to people of all ages and with a range of disabilities and health conditions. As a charity, we provide support for the whole family. Our care professionals love their work. They understand what unpaid carers, and those they care for, need and feel. They know the simple things that really matter, they do the hard jobs with a smile and they take pleasure in fitting into family life.
